I was really impressed by the standard of the food at this hotel. It was really on a par with the best restaurants in London. The staff were very friendly and helpful and stored our bikes inside the hotel overnight and dried our wet shoes in their boiler room. They also have a very cosy bar with a great selection... More

I don't usually write rave reviews but this is one. We stayed for one night at the Taynuilt and it was absolutely lovely. The building is attractive, an old coaching inn, easy to find and with lots of parking space. Part of the public area on the ground floor building is being renovated at the moment but that will soon... More

This was our second visit (see previous report). We stayed two nights and are happy to report that the staff have lost none of their verve! We ate in the restaurant both nights and the meals were excellent as was the service. Thanks again to all the staff for looking after us and we look forward to our next visit.... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of a one night stay here after looking for somewhere between Oban and Cruachan so after reading previous reviews on Tripadvisor about the Taynuilt Hotel, we thought we'd like to try their award winning restaurant and do an overnight stay. There is ample parking at the rear which has cctv coverage for peace... More

Decided to go for dinner and an overnight stay. Little local hotel, few miles from Oban. Not much to do, there is a nice few walks nearby. Currently in the process of being refurbished, the place is looking well, and is quant and unique in character. The staff are very helpful and friendly and made us feel at home. Bar... More

We recently stayed at the Taynuilt Hotel on a 1 night DB&B deal on our way to visiting Oban. Our room was named "Loch Leaven" and whilst it was adequate and clean it was in need of a little TLC but perfectly suitable for a short stay. I read the reviews on trip advisor before I booked the hotel and... More

We stayed here as part of a trip to the West Coast to savour the last dregs of the summer. To be honest our hopes of the Taynuilt Hotel were not too high given the bargain basement deal we were on. We really enjoyed our stay here, after driving through gorgeous landscapes. Lauren and all of the staff we met were welcoming, friendly, helpful and professional. Took advantage of a one night DB&B offer. We often visit Oban and stay there. However we thought we'd give this a try and we were not disappointed.
