My family, a party of 5 adults, have just enjoyed a fantastic Easter break in Carradale staying at Dunvalanree. The accommodation was lovely: spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable with lashings of hot water and comfy beds with crisp white sheets and proper feather pillows and duvets – heaven. The views from our rooms were breathtaking as Dunvalanree is situated above...

We spent 3 nights here as a family of 4 last week. We were the only guests, which was actually good for us as our children are young and quite noisy so it made it very relaxing for us. The food was uniformly excellent, the hosts chatty and the hotel warm, clean and cosy. I just wish it wasn't a...

Take a cosy hotel with spectacular views, add very comfy beds with proper pillows (no foam stuff here), mix with good food made from locally sourced ingredients (Alyson's dept), all brought together with a warm welcome and a wry sense of humour from Alan (mine host). This is what awaits you at the Dunvalanree Hotel. Go and enjoy the hotel...

This bed and breakfast is in a lovely setting. It is a little dated, but very clean and comfortable. I was there with some colleagues and although my room wasn't en-suite, it was very nice. The host is a little quirky, don't disclose you are eating anywhere else!! Great breakfast and proximity to the beach though. Very clean, quiet and...

We stayed for 4 nights at the hotel half board. Make sure you have something with eggs for breakfast - they are fresh from the hotel's own free range (organic) chickens which wander about in the garden - the yokes are bright yellow and taste superb. The evening meals are taken in one sitting, with 4 choices for each course...

This is the first big wedding that Alan and Allyson, the proprietors have ever done and what can I say.....well lets say that everyone who attended is still talking about what a fantastic fun day it was nearly a week later. Everyone and I mean everyone have done nothing but praise the hospitality, the quality of the food, the attention...

We stayed for 3 nights from the 8th August. Our room was extremely comfortable with good views of the bay. The food is outstanding. How Alyson and Alan can prepare a completely new multi choice menu on a nightly basis is beyond me. The little amuse bouche soups served at the start of the meal were different every night and...

We have stayed here many times over the past ten years or so. It just gets better and better. Rooms clean trendy and comfy and restaurant better than many 'names' on the London scene. All fresh and local. Breakfast to die for. We'll be back.

Great welcome, home from home, heavenly food, fantastic staff, set in the friendliest village in Scotland, I shall return as often as I can. I am also disabled and Room One catered to all my needs I also hired an off road buggy from Carradale Bikes and Buggies for the week and found joy going around the fabulous areas that...

Lovely location, lovely food, a great find (and a good base for the middle two days of the Kintyre Way) - not the cheapest place to stay in Kintyre, but probably one of the most memorable - we'll be back!
