Our hosts were super helpful & friendly, more like family than hosts, looking out for our comfort in every way. Also have the cutest dog imaginable. Breakfast area lovely & comfortable & food is great. A quiet spot off the main roads with a darling little cafe just down the road to walk to.

Gary and Eilleen R. "Wouldn't stay anywhere else" Having just spent a week in Scotland visiting the wifes family and friends how fortunate we where that we were able to stay at Michael and Denises lovely B&B again. The house is nestled in a quiet location, but within 10 mins you can be on the M8 and M9 motorways. I...

We stayed at Hollyhouse at the end of April on our very first visit to Scotland, what a fantastic place! If your looking for somewhere central between Edinburgh and Glasgow, with great train links from Bathgate and easy access onto the main roads, but want a rural, idyllic location, this is the place for you! The Falkirk Wheel, Kelpies and...

My wife and I have spent three peaceful and undisturbed days at Hollyhouse. We wish to thank Michael and Denise for looking after us so well; and Michael’s sound advice regarding the local restaurants and other amenities. We received a most warm and friendly welcome, and our room was neat and tidy, with plenty of storage space, and very comfortable....

Rooms lovely and breakfast yummy. Nothing too much trouble. Perhaps a hand rail on the steps leading up to the front door for the more senior guests...

At the risk of sounding boring, I echo all previous reviews. This was my family's first time ever using a b&b and the hosts have certainly set the bar high. The house is immaculate, our rooms perfectly equipped and spotless, beds comfy and our hosts very very accommodating and extremely welcoming. Breakfast was tasty too. We came with a 5...

Myself and my family stayed at the Hollyhouse Bed and Breakfast the night before my wedding (Wedding Day 19th April 2013 at the VU). My family also stayed at the Hollyhouse Bed and Breakfast on the night of the wedding. Michael and Denise were very welcoming and helped in any way they could with anything we needed. The bed rooms...

Hollyhouse is a lovely B&B and Michael and Denise are splendid hosts. Thanks to Michael for coming to rescue us poor lost people on the road and making our stay so comfortable. We also got to try haggis for breakfast. It's much better than you think. :) The one issue is that it's very difficult to find. We were coming...
