The Bankton House Hotel is a lovely wee place in Livingston. The staff were great and made my stay extremely comfortable. The room I staid in was beautiful and the bed was a dream. I will be staying again very soon !

I booked two family rooms in December on booking.com.The confirmation email came for only double room with shared bathroom. As this was not what I had booked I called Booking.com to see if I could resolve this. I was told that the hotel charges for cancellation and I need to speak to them directly to waive the charge. I called...

Hi this guest was informed by ourselves and booking.com that the cancellation fee couldn't be waived, and she continued to harass us via email, threating that she would place a bad review on line about us, she was only charged the cancellation fee, she continually emailed and called booking.com who then called us to advise us not to deal with...

We stayed here for one night and we were in a room separate from the main building. We had a drink in the cosy bar and the staff were great. The room was clean, the decor a little dated and the bed was comfortable but the fact we had to share a bathroom was surprising, as we have never come...

A nice small Family run hotel. Very spacious room, comfortable bed, and roomy en-suit. The staff were polite, cheery and very helpful. There is a cosy Public Bar forming part of the hotel. The food that was served was wholesome and tasty.

I stayed here for a week in June and I really enjoyed my time here. All the staff, from the owner to the bartender were super friendly. My single bedroom was pretty small, but it was in a little cottage in the back garden off the main house. If you're looking for quaint, this is it. The pub in the...

I was made to feel very welcome from the minute i walked in the door. The room was lovely, spotlessly clean with a...

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights in August whilst visiting the sites of Edinburgh and watch the Tattoo show. The hotel is located 2 mins walk from livingston south train station and took 22 mins to Edinburgh and cost just over £5.00 for a day return. A taxi back in the evening was £45.00 but it was too late...

We spent two days here to see the sights of Edinburgh, but it could also be a great hub to explore Glasgow as well. It is a about half way between the two cities. It is so quiet and restful compared to the inner city hotels. The house is a lovely 1812 manor beautifully kept. Our room was large with...

A very welcoming hotel with the feel of being family run, not the big faceless corporate style. Tastefully decorated with spacious rooms, Breakfast was plentiful and tasty, again not the usual hotel chain meals. On the side of the hotel there is a small bar for relaxing in.
