Our visit to Skye was a highlight of our 2 week trip in Scotland and our 2 night stay at Sconser Lodge was a part of what made it so! Centrally located on the Isle of Skye, it was easy to get everywhere we wanted to go from here. We loved our 2nd floor room overlooking the loch and enjoyed...

We travelled down to Sconser Lodge from the Isle of Harris and managed to drive right past it at first. We did an abrupt U-turn and slowed down and finally entered along the gravel driveway. What a find! It was built in the 1870's as a shooting lodge for the MacDonalds. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by Norrie,...

The Sconser Lodge is a great hotel. Its central location makes it a wonderful base from which to explore the magical Isle of Skye. The staff are exceptionally dedicated and friendly, as the place is family owned and run. It is right on the sea, with dramatic views. Our room was comfortable and quiet, with a view of the ocean....

Booked for our first night on Skye (recommend booking, especially if you're not a resident), beautiful setting looking across to Scalpay. Very friendly service, very accommodating when 10year old decided she didn't like anything on the menu - sausages & beans from the breakfast menu was a definite hit. The seafood was delicious & highly recommended by the other 2...

During our 8 day cycling trip through Scotland we stayed here on a whim for a warm night's sleep, hot shower, and home cooked food. It was absolutely amazing. Incredibly peaceful, the view of the sea is breathtaking. The lodge itself is absolutely wonderful, warm and inviting, with old Scottish charm and modern facilities including free, fast wifi and ensuite...

My first visit to the Isle of Skye.Drove Lottie Landrover all the way from Ludlow and over the border into Scotland.Chose to revisit Rannoch Moor and Glen Coe and both were as awe inspiring as before. Met a piper piping atop a mountain overlooking Loch Garry who recommended that we take the turntable ferry over the sea to Skye at...

Very comfortable family-run hotel. Craig is the chef and his food is amazing! It is fresh, inventive, beautifully presented, and delicious! The hotel was built in 1871 and is very attractive. My room had a bit of a sea view and was extremely comfortable. The public spaces are very nice with big windows looking out to the water, which is...

Gorgeous room, food of the highest quality. See food caught the same morning, we watched it come in! Location to die for and hosts were born to do this. Great atmosphere in the bar in the evening, and lovely bottle of wine after a long days walking in breathtaking scenery.
