I'm amazed at these reviews as this was the total opposite of my brother and my experience. Despite us having booked our room 3 weeks beforehand for a twin room, on arrival we were told casually by Peter that he had made a mistake and he now only had a double room. When my brother pointed out to him that... More

Stayed here for 4 nights as past of a photography trip. Bed was super comfy, wifi actually worked (unlike other places offering 'free wifi') and our hosts were very accommodating. Up and out the door early meant no Scottish breakfast but instead we got a fresh packed 'lunch' to eat as we needed. Fantastic place to stay, would stay again.

My husband and I spent two nights here and loved the charming, spacious ensuite room and the delicious breakfast, which we were able to choose the evening before. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, suggesting places to visit and things to do - even giving us their own travel guides for reference. It is also located conveniently close to... More

Our accomodations at Meadowbrook was superb. Our room was comfortable and clean. The walk to town was easy. Our hosts were friendly and accomodating. Travel and touring advise was right on and very helpful. When I return to Skye, I will plan on returning to Meadowbrook.

We loved this little gem. We were treated very well, our room was very spacious, a lovely large en suite and more than ample hanging space. If we had to find one tiny fault it was after a long drive there was no where to sit and have a cup of tea untill our room was ready, but that was... More

We stayed here recently and I enjoyed the very clean and nice room with ensuite bathroom. The owner is very friendly and made good recommendations. The price is excellent and the breakfast is delicious. The beds were very comfortable and you also have water and coffee and tea in your room. What else would you want to have? I would... More

My friend and I were a bit worried about our trip to Portree. We had heard terrible things about the weather in the northern parts of Scotland. I know the owners couldn't control the weather (which turned out to be gorgeous!!) but even if it hadn't, our stay at the Meadowbank Guest house would have been a very sunny memory... More

I have stayed here three times because I like the friendly and welcoming owners, the rooms are comfortable, clean and quiet. It is close to the town centre but far enough away (just a short walk) to be peaceful. The breakfast setting is very pleasant and relaxing and the food is nice. I would definitely stay again.

Peter & Elaine were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We were in an annex room which, although not huge, was adequate, clean and comfortable - as soon as the evenings turned chilly, the heating was turned on. We were slightly disappointed to find that there was no wi-fi signal in our room - it wasn't a huge problem but would... More

Elaine and Peter really look after their guests with spotless rooms and great breakfasts. Drenching rain when we arrived but we were met with a lovely warm room. Good location too, very easy walk to Portree centre with its shops and restaurants.
