Booked in advance to allow an extended visit of the Scottish isles. Room was ok. Shower was stone cold, as was the shower of an Italian couple staying along the corridor. The shower drain also oozed a kind of grey matter when the drain filled up. This was reported but no attempt was made to correct the problem. The proprietor...

I am always one for giving wherever I am staying a chance, having worked in the industry for years and when we walked into the Mackinnon Hotel I ignored the non welcome from the older lady walking towards us at reception, and we had to wait a while to be seen anyway. She thawed a little as I said it...

absolutely stunning location, view of the hills. family room had adjoining bunk beds, and was very big. lovely slightly qwerky place, really interesting decor, lovely grounds for walking the dog, unlike other dog friendly places I have stayed in the past, was clean, and our room was obviously a nicely kept room, not a skanky one they kept aside for the...

My college-age daughter, her friend, and I spent three nights at this charming inn. We spent our days exploring the Isle of Skye driving to the far north coasts, as well as the Talisker Whisky Distillery, Fairy Pools, and Portree... Breakfast was in a sunny room overlooking a garden with interesting birds and trees. Menu options: a full Scottish breakfast,...

I purchased a 3-day tourism package from "Highland Experience Tours" company, and was brought to this hotel on Day 2. This "hotel", which is currently labelled three-star on TripAdvisor, is absolutely a joke. Disappointing from every angel. Some highlights below. - Wifi: router was broken. No internet. I was traveling from the US and had very limited international data available...

We had an ok stay and I wish I had more positive things to say, but I am struggling. I felt rather unwelcomed right from the start and there seemed to be very little interest in us or our stay. I could excuse a lot but the bathroom was unacceptable, the cracks in the sink, the black mould everywhere, the...

If you enjoy sleeping on hard springs. Having mini plates for breakfast. Listening to the next rooms conversation and walking to your accommodation in pitch black, then this is the place for you. But sadly it's not for me but Isle of Skye is a must . Just not this hotel.

I was immediately unimpressed. It took us 5 minutes to find someone just to check in and it got worse from thereon. There was mold in the shower stall. My wife could feel the springs in the mattress. The buffet breakfast was less than inviting and really had no appeal. When the guests upstairs walked, it sounded like they were...

Thank you Victoria and Iliya for making our stay so pleasurable. From the moment we arrived, viewed our lovely bedroom and settled in for 3 nights, we felt so welcome. In spite of your difficult family circumstances you gave us excellent service, and we almost felt like 'family' when the time came to depart back to the mainland, leaving us...
