We stayed here for two nights with fabulous hosts Barbara and Alan .The house was charming and so relaxing, and the views of The Coolings nestled within a quiet landscape will stay with us forever. Alan recommended places to have dinner which were spot on and so local. The bedrooms were so comforting we even kept the curtains open all...

Stayed here for two nights, myself, wife and mother in law. Very comfortable, quiet (remote) with great views from your bed of the nearby mountain (sorry can't remember name). As it was the start of summer stayed light until 11-12pm -great to watch scenery changing colour. Rooms were lovely, breakfast was fantastic - even got the secret family recipe for...

We stayed at this place for 3 nights, and i can highly recommend it. Barbara and Alan were lovely, it was cold for these nights, and when we came in there was a lovely fire every night in the lounge, and coffee or tea if we needed it. made to feel very welcome, breakfast was so filling, anything we wanted....

We stayed here for two nights as part of a girls' short break (two mums with our pre-teen daughters). Barbara and Alan are delightful hosts who made our stay most comfortable. The house is spotlessly clean and full of charm. Breakfasts are delicious, with a good choice of locally-sourced fayre: smoked haddock, eggs and venison sausages to name but three....

We spent two nights here, a great base for exploring the Isle of Skye. And the surroundings are stunning! Only a couple of minutes from town, and you feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere (in the best sense possible) - Babara and Alan were very friendly and helpful with recommendations for restaurants. - More of a "classic"...

Swordale house is really a nice place. Barbara and Alan are very welcoming people. The rooms are a little bit small but charming. And the view from the windows is fantastic! Only moor, sheeps, mountains.. Very peaceful! Bathroom are not so great. Small. The electric shower makes a lot of noise. The breakfast was very good and very fresh. We...

We travelled as 2 couples and stayed for 1 night in this lovely B&B. The moment we arrived we were taken by the amazing views and the location itself. It was so idylic and secluded, just the lovely house, sheep and views of Red Cuillin. Alan's welcome was so warm that we felt at home immediately. We arrived quite late,...

It's easy to think that you should stay along the coastline on Skye, but let me tell you about Sworedale. My wife and I spent a week on Skye and in the end found the peninsula containing the Sworedale House and the village of Elgol to be the most entertaining. Sworedale House sits directly between mountains on the road to...

We only stayed here in this lovely BB for one night (unfortunately). Anyway, the experience was simply wonderful! The owners are amazing people, helpful and hearty etc. The location of the BB was pleasant surprise for us as it is located in the middle of mountain covered with sheep:-) Beautiful!! Rooms nice and clean, breakfast lovely! Me and my husband...
