The hotel is well located and the rooms are spacious by UK standards. Breakfast is also good (although (unless you like this sort of thing), it is probably best to steer clear of the artery-clogging Scottish breakfast). However, one thing that is absolutely unforgivable is the problem that the hotel has with water in the bathroom. For some reason that...

We called in for dinner with 8 of us, and no booking. The staff were accommodating, and looked after us. In fact the two waitresses, 18 and 20, and the manager were all simply superb. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, one of the waitresses taught us about 'Cheeky Vimtos', and all was simply Brill!

This was for a one night stay, rather booked at the last minute, to visit a friend on the island who has limited accommodation for putting people up. The hotel is laid back and the staff extremely friendly, with a good standard of food and service in the restaurant as well as a good choice of beers, including my favourite,...

This was one of the nicest bedrooms we stayed in on a 2 week tour of Scotland with a pleasant sitting area separate from the bed area and very good bathroom facilities. It was quite and restful. We ate both dinner and breakfast in the hotel and found the food excellent but I would have to say that the dining...

A decent room with a comfortable bed, good wardrobe space and powerful hot shower. Breakfast is fine but the service could have been better - it seemed like the staff were struggling to cope. In my opinion it was really expensive for the quality and more like a B&B.

This hotel is very old school. the rooms are nice and big and the staff are friendly. There are no lifts so you will have to carry your bags two to three floors. The restaurant has a very basic menu but few patrons. Not a bad place to stay.

Great room and friendly staff, good location with some nice walks and sunset views of the bay and shore just across the road from the hotel. Do not understand why somebody would be complaining about no elevator in a hotel with only two floors! Gremlins with the electricity in the kitchen when we stayed - I was able to help...

Upon entering the establishment , I wasn't impressed. It definitely needs some cosmetic work. Both the walls and carpet need cleaning and or repair. I was pleasantly surprised with the room however, it was clean and tidy. The staff were pleasant .
