Torquil and his wife have now moved the B+B to their own home across the road from number 6 - now number 3. I only stayed for one nights whilst on business in town and can't fault my stay. The room was a very conformable twin room with excellent en suite facilities. Breakfast was plentiful. Torquil and Jessie were great...

I have no hesitation in recommending a stay at this establishment, although ensure you speak to Torquil as the house was for sale during our visit in August 2012 with the intention of moving the business to a different house. I have no doubt, however, that the quality will be as high in any place that Torquil is responsible for....

My Husband and two friends spent three nights at this excellent B&B. Torquil Macleod couldn't have been a better host. The breakfast was of a very high standard, and a catered for all tastes and appetites. I had porridge and full scottish breakfast, it was cooked to perfection and a great start to a full days sight seeing. Hubby and...

Stayed one night, arriving very late, and couldn't have been more helpful. Very good room, good food; as others have said a real gem. Thanks.

Working in Stornoway for 3 days. Spent my nights at Number Six in the care of Torquil Macleod. Extremely comfortable bed, warm room, immaculately clean room and shower. Very nice breakfast with quality choice. Very many thanks for a most excellent stay. Will come again next time I'm in Stornoway and will be recommending to friends and colleagues.

I stayed here 1 night on business. I usually go for hotels first rather than B&B's but I couldn't find a hotel room anywhere. In the end I was very glad I didn't!! I arrived at midday and phoned to ask if I could get into the room early as I had some work to do. This was readily accomodated...

Beautiful, tasteful, comfortable, but also a fascinating place to be. Surprisingly moderately priced…Torquil McLeod the owner has regulars and does not advertise to passing trade. But it’s worth giving it a go…definitely the best place to stay in Stornaway!! Highly recommended not only for its gorgeous interiors – the owner is an artist and it shows – but if you...

Torquil and Jessie Ann have really got the art of runnning a good quality B&B down pat! They are both so welcoming and helpful! The rooms are immaculately clean and beautifully decorated - to give the guest a real sense of comfort. The breakfasts are generous and excellently cooked. Do not overlook this excellent B&B if staying in Stornoway!

This is my favourite B&B in Stornoway. Rooms are clean with modern en-suites, no tartan kitsch, guest lounge, thoughful touches in rooms and wi-fi. Stornoway black pudding cooked to perfection. Friendly host who remembers his guests. About 3 minutes drive from the centre of Stornoway or 20 minutes walk , on a quiet road with parking space.
