My husband and I stayed here for one night as our friends were getting married in Cornill House. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as was the entrance of the hotel. The room, even though classed as a small double with no window, was lovely and bright. It was clean and well presented. There is a large skylight in...

On a family weekend away we stopped for lunch in Biggar. Although we were a party of 8 with no prior booking there was no fuss or delay and we were shown to pleasant quiet dining area behind the cosy bar area. Staff were efficient and helpful, the food was excellent and I have no doubt we will return in...

Stopped off at this Hotel on way to friends for dinner, warm welcome from staff, olde world surroundings but cosy, food was very good and reasonable priced, it was busy so a popular place, so we'll worth a visit.

Lovely night here with good friends, however food was ok, had the pork and black pudding, not good serving the end off the black pudding on the top! Food wasn't presented as nice as usual, It was ok. Service great and efficient. 😊Will come back in the future, as food is great overall.

The starters were lovely; unfortunately, for me my main was not so good, over cooked tuna steak, which did not taste fresh at all. That said, my partner really enjoyed his food, so maybe, I was just unlucky. Certainly, the ambience and general...

We have just returned from a two night stay at The Elph. Everything was perfect from the comfortable room, superb food and exceptional staff. It really feels homely and everyone is so friendly. We stayed in room 6 which overlooks the decked terrace and found it lovely and quiet. The lounge has recently been refurbished and thankfully the lovely open...

Stayed here for a wedding taking place in the nearby castle. Booked a small double room 3 but didn't realise it wouldn't have a window! Room was adequate had a nice bathroom with a separate shower and corner bath. Good breakfast and excellent evening meal.
