The Torridon Hotel is set on the shores of Loch Torridon in the awe inspiring landscape of the Torridon mountains. A visit to the hotel is a memorable experience at any time of year. There are a range of activities available: guided hill walks, fishing, archery etc.(see the website). In the winter months enjoy a bracing walk with spectacular views...

Way back at the end of the year 2000 I took my then girlfriend on a grand tour of the North West Highlands of Scotland. Our first port of call was the Three Chimneys on Skye but, while there, I chanced upon a brochure in our room that included an advert for a place called the Loch Torridon Country House...

Our first ever Christmas away and what a perfect choice. We couldn't have asked for more. Everything was perfect, the setting (magnificent), the service (personal but not overbearing), the food (divine) and the atmosphere (magical). We wondered whether we would be two people amongst groups of others, but not so. All the guests were friendly and joined in the festivities,...

We stayed at The Torridon for my best friend's 50th Birthday party. There were 20 of us for the weekend!! We were so well looked after from start to finish. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food was fabulous and the breakfast amazing!!! The room was comfy with all the comforts you would expect. My friends have been telling...

Our latest visit to The Torridon was a return for their New Year festivities a few weeks ago. It was our second New Year spent there and it won't be our last, having booked for next year before we left. This is nothing new though, as we have been many times to The Torridon and we always rebook before we...

We came back a second time for the New Year Hogmanay package, which was even better than before, how is that possible!?! Every traditional Hogmanay touch you could think of, great atmosphere, everyone very friendly and lots of laughter (whether you wanted to join in the fun or not, either way was absolutely fine). Food was absolutely divine. Very sorry...

We stayed at the hotel for their New Year package. We really enjoyed the experience. Our room was wonderful and we enjoyed meeting new people. The hotel laid on various activities and we enjoyed some of these: clay pigeon shooting, archery and 'highland' games. We also enjoyed the Hogmanay party and the magician on January 1st.The hotel is in a...

We spent three nights at The Torridon over New Year's Eve. Unbeknownst to us - we likely overlooked this when booking - the hotel decided to make its 2013 NYE celebration a "whole house party" from the first day, which meant that breakfasts and dinners were all taken together at two long tables in the dining room. For many of...

Found by chance, as did many of our fellow guests, on the internet, this far exceeds our greatest expectations. While not cheap it gives excellent value for money. We are staying for their 5 day Christmas break which unfortunately ends tomorrow. While not the easiest of hotels to get to, which is part of its charm, the moment you are...

It was a real pleasure to have you and your wife with us over Christmas and we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. The staff work very hard over the festive period and it is always great when they are appreciated. We look forward to welcoming you back. Kind regards, Dan & Rohaise
