Bill and Sue run a wonderful B & B. Spacious rooms that are beautifully decorated with wonderful views of the sea beyond. Has a comfortable lounge on the main floor which was nice to have access to. Breakfast offered several choices and all of our choices were done very well. Friendly, helpful hosts. Would highly recommend. .

The house sits in attractive grounds and has a good range of amenities, well presented rooms including a residents lounge with a view (but not of a golf course) and an attractive dining room. The hosts are attentive and the breakfasts are very substantial. Difficult to fault.

Thank you for your short but precise and complimentary review. With regard to the "Golf View" , as you know, we are located on a plateau overlooking the Dornoch Firth. Between us and the Firth lies Tain Golf Club which has been there since 1890. It blends in well and can be difficult to spot! Once again, thank you for...

A hotel stay is melange of different influences. The building is grand and stands in well kept grounds. The view from the bedroom is across fields to the Firth. The room is sufficiently spacious and with agood bed and silence sleep was sound. This was followed by a well cooked breakfast and the service was always there but not intrusive.A very good place to...

My husband and I stayed at Bill and Sue's for six nights just before Easter. As on our previous visits, the room (Room 5 - with a lovely view over the fields, golf course and the Dornoch Firth) was as spotless and comfortable as usual. Breakfasts were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed them! We would highly recommend Golf View House...

Three of us stayed in 2 rooms for one night in August 2016. Bill and Sue were perfect hosts. Our rooms were extremely comfortable. The bathroom in our double room was huge and perfectly appointed. The house is in a quiet location within easy walking distance to town. Breakfast was perfect, with a wide choice on the menu. We would...

Lovely solid mansion, beautifully decorated throughout. Comfortable, airy and spacious bedroom with ensuite bathroom meant the final night of my touring holiday was spent in style! Only problem was I had difficulty accessing the internet - instructions were not clear in the folder - but just decided to chill and relax!

Thank you for your review. Sorry you had problems accessing the free wifi. There are no instructions in the folder because the wifi is open and available at hot spots around the house including the public rooms. Glad you chilled!!

We stay with Bill and Sue each time we visit Scotland and it is one of our favourite B & B's. Spotlessly clean, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast make a stay here in this friendly establishment a perfect choice if visiting Tain. Location is convenient, walking distance to the town, and the elegant house has beautiful views. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at the Golf View House for one night and loved it. The house itself is beautiful, like an old mansion. It has a nice entry hall, a guest lounge with view onto the water and a very nice breakfast room (also with a view). We had a twin room, which was quite spacious. The bathroom was the biggest...

I stayed at this lovely guest house for a second time while on a business trip. Everything is fantastic--the peace and quiet, good sized car park, excellent fast WIFI and good breakfast. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. The guest house is only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Tain with plenty of places to eat. HIGHLY...
