Cannot speak highly enough about the Aurora B&B. The accommodations are modern, roomy and welcoming. Our king-size bed was so comfortable with ample pillows that both my wife and I slept like babes for three nights in a row. And the breakfasts were the tops. Add to all of the above an obvious commitment to an ecology-friendly environment and an...

Clean, fresh rooms, comfy beds, fantastic views from the sumptuous guest lounge, flapjack readily available and a lovely breakfast - all served with great attention to detail and a real concern for the environmental impact. Enjoyable and impressive.

We enjoyed our stay at the Aurora. Our room was very comfortable and quiet with good storage. Plenty of shelves and hanging space. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The drying room by the front door was priceless as we had some very wet hikes! The lounge was nice. Ann is a wealth of knowledge and she was very helpful...

We had a lovely few days with friends at this well situated B&B. The innkeeper was full of good information and provided great guidance on hiking paths and restaurants. The shared living room was perfect for us all to congregate in the evenings. Good for those looking for a commitment to green values and a laid back atmosphere too.

The owner, Ann, welcomed us very warmly. Large, well-equipped, comfortable room; excellent guest lounge (no TV in guest room, which I think is a bonus not a drawback!). Lounge has some great views over the loch; telescope set up for the eagles; lots of nice green ideas; Ann is a fount of local knowledge and very helpful in suggesting activities....

The original house has been beautifully redeveloped & is light & spacious, & equipped with everything you could need. Anne is a wonderful host, couldn't be friendlier or more helpful, with a great knowledge of good walking in the area and recommendations for getting the most out of a visit to Shieldaig. Food absolutely delicious - organic, home grown, locally...

I telephoned Ann the day before our arrival to apologise for the fact that we would be arriving later than expected. When I booked on-line three months earlier, I said we would be there at 5pm.. Shieldaig is remote and for the uninitiated it can be easy to underestimate the time needed to get there. I had not anticipated that there...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. The other side of this story: I received a phone call around 6pm Saturday – just as I’d sat down for the first time in 12 hours. I was informed that the group of 4 would be ‘SLIGHLTY’ later than the 5pm entry indicated for their Sunday arrival – (6pm...

We stayed in 6 different B&B's in Scotland, and while all were good, Aurora Bed & Breakfast was absolutely superb! Ann works very hard to make your stay amazing - she thinks of everything! Everything is clean and organized, you never need to ask her for anything. We stayed in the Applecross room and the bed was huge and like...

This was the best B&B that we have enjoyed in many respects! Loved the breakfasts, the cleanliness of the rooms and the privacy afforded to guests. The flap-jacks are still memorable (recipe please?!) We stayed in Torridon and Skye rooms; both were great although the shower works much better in Skye...
