Great B&B, very welcoming, terrific room, outstanding location and view, finishing up with a cackling breakfast around a large table with interesting guests. Shieldaig is very scenic and the local hotel serves good seafood. Highly recommended location and bed and breakfast.

Stayed in the small cottage which was comfortable and cosy especially with the log fire. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice and we enjoyed chatting to the owners, Richard and Claire who made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back!

Kinloch is located approx 2 miles from the village of Shieldaig and is pretty easy to find. We stayed here for 1 night during our North Coast 500 trip. As the village is a little further from the BnB, bear in mind that you cannot walk to the pub, restaurant in shieldaig which means a designated driver is needed or... More

Very quiet, fantastic view on the Torridon straight and the birds feeding at low tide, this place is friendly. You feel at home, the breakfast is excellent and the cottage is spacious, well kept, including a large living room. It is a couple of miles from the village, but easy to find. Two good walks start nearby, but avoid them... More

We stayed for 2 nights in the small cottage having previously stayed in the larger cottage. Equally as good. Very comfortable beds and very well equipped. Kids loved their bedroom ( up the ships ladder )which I couldn't climb up to as I'm scared of heights! Fantastic views over the loch. Richard and Claire (& their dog Alfie) made us... More

We found Kinloch when browsing for accommodation in the Torridon area. Luckily Claire and Richard still had room for us for the next two days; we were allocated the small cottage. Normally they would have asked us to come in a bit later than we planned, because the previous guests would only leave on the morning of our arrival. Because... More

Wow, we wished we had stayed more than one night. We stayed in the cabin. Everything has been considered by the very friendly hosts, Clare and Richard (I think, sorry stayed in many places this holiday). Great view of the loch. 3 minute drive into town, to a gem of a restaurant. Breakfast was also great. Parking on site. Very... More

We just stayed on night after driving over the pass of the cattle, stopping for a drink at Applecross and driving around the coast to Shieldaig. After a misty but glorious drive this was the perfect place to spend the night. It's a beautiful location on the waters edge looking across to Shieldaig, the accommodation is good (although note wifi... More

We visited the Kinloch B&B in May 2016 during a spontaneous tour of the west coast. We didn't have a booking and simply drove up to the house after we saw the sign on the road side. Seconds after turning onto the driveway we were stunned by the view in front of us and the flowering Gorse all around. Richard... More

Three of us shared a four person apartment in a separate building. Lots of space including our own sitting area and a complete kitchen. The location is fantastic with Loch Shielding lapping only metres from the window which provided great views across the loch to the village and Island. Our hosts, Richard and Gail (and their super friendly one eyed... More
