My husband booked a 3 night stay here for my special birthday. On arrival we were upgraded to the 4 poster suite by a delightful young receptionist , sorry I did not get her name. From that perfect start, the hotel, staff , ambience, food, were perfect. We had dinner in the beautiful restaurant on my birthday. Food was very...

Friendly welcome, beautiful room with refurbished bath and shower room, lovely little touches like the water and biscuits, replenished daily, places to nestle and chill out, excellent food both at dinner and breakfast - what's not to like?? The staff are so helpful and can't do enough for you and even having the decorators in upgrading other rooms was fun...

Spent another night at Coul House last weekend. We were very lucky to be upgraded to a mountain view room which was spacious and had great views. Dinner was superb once again delivered by very attentive waiting on staff. Love staying at Coul House and highly recommend it. It is secluded but it's not in the middle of nowhere. Lovely...

This is a real gem of a hotel. Everything was perfect, from the room, bed, food, service, grounds, staff, owners reception (including the wee pooch booking us in 😜), very dog friendly, the location, helpfulness and friendliness of everyone working there, value for money etc etc A real country house hotel which welcomes everyone and is not stuffy in any...

My wife and I have enjoyed lunch, dinner and afternoon tea at Coul House. The cooking is good and the baking, comfort, service, first class. Other members of the family have stayed and are equally enthusiastic, especially on being allowed to take their dog. This is a lovely old house blessed with owners who love what they are doing. We...

We recently returned to this hotel after last staying in 2015. We have already been twice this year and found the hotel to be as good as ever. We love everything about it. The location is magnificent. The grounds are beautifully maintained and originally laid out. The building has great character, is tastefully decorated and very well maintained. The staff...

From the sumptuous a la cartel afternoon tea ion arrival to drinks, dinner and breakfasts all delivered with a level of service rarely seen today, in fact it is reminiscent of a bye gone era. Stuart...

What a lovely hotel. We stayed in a small double which was extremely comfortable. The bed and linen were quality which is so important. All staff were so polite and professional and couldn't do enough to help. We will definitely be back to explore the local area which looked very beautiful.

Beautiful old country house with all the decor immaculately preserved. Stunning location with ample grounds to meander through, dogs very welcome.Relaxing lounge and bar, open fires and octagonal dinning room, to name a few. Welcome from the owner was like I had arrived at a friend's house and the service was exceptional. Food was, in my opinion, worthy of a...

I booked this trip as a surprise for my husband's 30th birthday. We spent 5 days in Coul House hotel and what a lovely time we had. As soon as we entered we were warmed by a roaring fire and lovely reception. The first thing I noticed was Bella the owners adorable little dog. I so wanted to take her...
