After staying at The Lovat last Easter, we decided to return at the same time of the year. Although the hotel was quieter away from the easter weekend, there were still sufficient guests to give the hotel a good atmosphere. We had all our meals in the Brasserie and the service and food cannot be faulted. We certainly will be...

BTW this hotel is excellent, nice room, attentive staff and one of the best meals we have had in a long time. 5 course taster with quite inventive grub. The wine flight was well priced and excellent wines with good measures😉. Good DB&B price too!

Last minute choice after seeing travellers' photos of our first choice...and what luck! Was meeting up with friends from Glasgow and then going north. Arrived early...was made very welcome..fire in lounge was immediately lit (a rainy April day)...Country house feel....antique'y furnishings... magazines, staff attentive but not pushy...evening meal very good...again, staff excellent. Rooms pristine.. Price very reasonable. Stayed in the...

We stayed at the Lovat for 3 nights over Easter weekend 2015. The location was great - the Loch was maybe 2 minutes walk away (and we could see it from our window!). Very peaceful area. We found that there was plenty to explore on foot (including a few decent pubs nearby) and it was a nice drive to Urquhart...

The hotel was fine for what I wanted. I was looking for somewhere, close to loch Ness, to sleep on a room only basis for a couple of nights. The room, one of the studio apartments, was clean and the staff friendly. I had no reason to try the dining room. If I go back again next year then I...

We stayed here for the weekend as a birthday treat on Friday 17th April and Saturday 18th April 2015. We were checked in by a very friendly male receptionist (didn't catch his name) who showed us up to our room - room 6. It was massive and definitely made for two! A HUGE bed, two arm chairs by the window...

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night on a stop over. On arrival we were greeted with a happy birthday from the reception for my husband and told we had a complimentary upgrade from the hotel. We were shown to our room which was immaculate and had a great view. Bed was very comfy and the bathroom had...

We have stayed at The Lovat a couple of times and have always had really good, friendly service. The restaurant is excellent, infact in a league of its own for this part of Scotland, the chef is very creative. The rooms are warm, stylish and comfortable, with huge, wonderfully comfortable beds. The hotel is heated using a biomas boiler which...

Relatively long journey and long working days when I stay here, but never, ever disappointed. Very warm welcome, which I prefer in the winter due to the roaring log fire next to reception. Very clean and tidy, the hotel gives you a feel that you want to be staying for a long time! Homely I guess. Two options for rooms,...

Stayed here last minute over easter weekend. The hotel is in a good location. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Not the biggest of rooms but for what we needed it for it was fine. The public areas of the hotel are lovely and cosy with open fires and sofas. From the minute we arrived all staff...
