We recently stayed in the family room which worked really well for my husband and I and our two children (ages 9 and 11). The food was absolutely fantastic and the staff were excellent. It is a short walk to the Loch Ness cruises. Excellent hotel.

Had a wonderful dinner with my husband and two kids while vacationing in Fort Augustus. The food was fresh and expertly prepared, with many excellent choices. Service was attentive. Nice views of Highlands from restaurant.

We stopped here for one night on our way to the Isle of Skye after having been on a boat cruise on Loch Ness. We were very happy with our decision, as you walk into the reception area the hint of grandeur gives an indication on the history of the building with the wood lined walls and snug like lounge...

We spent one night here on our way to Isle of Skye. Cute spot with views of Loch Ness from our room. Rooms were small, but clean and comfortable. Easy walk into town and nearby pubs/restaurants. Did not eat dinner here, but had a lovely breakfast. Service was friendly and eager to assist us in any way. Plenty of free...

Stayed here at the weekend lovely staff. Fantastic room with views of the mountains and Loch Ness didn't see the monster. And the food was out of this world. The hotel is ideally located for touring the HIGHLANDS if you are in the area this is the only place to stay.

It was the last room available on the night so I'm not complaining. Couldn't have wished for better service and attention. Could not be faulted. The owners and staff are to be commended for their service orientation - I wouldn't hesitate to return or to recommend them.

Our stay in Loch Ness was made by The Lovat. A beautiful room, in a beautiful building, surrounded by beautiful scenery. This would have been enough to please, yet every member of staff seemed intent on making our stay even better. Nothing was ever too much, and a smile and a hello were always available whether it be early in...

Excellent welcoming service, fantastic location, very thoughtful touches in the rooms. The free cream tea was an unmissable treat - real leaf tea, what looked like homemade jam and warm, fresh scones. Yummers. All served in the very cosy and traditional hotel lounge in front of an open fireplace. The in-laws had a luxury room which had the added bonus...

Staff were very attantative and extremely friendly. The room was lovely with a massive comfortable bed, just what you want after a long day walking around the Loch. We took...

We were originally booked to spend Hogmanay at The Inch Hotel on Loch Ness, but renovations caused us to be moved to The Lovatt. We were welcomed and escorted to a beautiful room with well appointed en suite and a great view over the garden. Dinner was amazing and we very much enjoyed the comfortable lounge for reading and relaxing...
