We greatly enjoyed our recent stay here. The B+B is located in a lovely quiet setting in the forest but is only about two miles from Fort Augustus, which has anything you may need such as shops, pubs, restaurants. The drive to the B+B through the forest is wonderful and the road well maintained. Our room was tastefully decorated, spotlessly...

A warm welcome awaits you at this B&B. Lovely bedroom on the first floor. This B&B is in a forest area of Fort Augustus, maybe for some people difficult to find, but well worth the effort. We had excellent instructions to get to this B&B. We were not the only people staying here, in fact this B&B was full all...

We stayed three nights at this cozy B&B. We had a car which made it easier both to get there and to get to Fort Augustus. Elaine was very welcoming and gave us lots of great tips about what to see and where to eat, and both she and husband John were very helpful throughout. Breakfast was very good, and...

Well maintained, nice rooms. The hosts are lovely, very kind and helpful. We had cycled there and they stored our bikes away for the night and gave us a lift to and from Fort Augustus (2 miles away) for dinner. I was so relieved by this kind offer - I really didn't want to get back on the bike again...

Hello to you both! Glad you enjoyed your stay with us and the lift to and from the village. It is something we offer our walkers and cyclists as we are aware it is a little way outside the village centre. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip. Thank you again and it was lovely to meet you both....

With good informations they gave us, it was pretty easy to get to this B&B... almost lost in the forest. They welcomed us like we were family, with hot coffee and cookies. Elaine gave us valuable information about local attractions and good restaurants. The house is super cozy. I had a huge and confortable room with private bathroom. The breakfast...

A little off the beaten track Mavisburn is a beautiful house and has to be one of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. John and Elaine were very welcoming and offered tea/coffee on our arrival. They were very knowledgeable about the area and recommended places to eat. Our room was large and very comfortable with two armchairs, the...

We have just returned from a two-night stay at Mavisburn, and couldn’t recommend it enough! The house itself is in a beautiful forest, set a little way out of Fort Augustus (maybe a 5-10 minute drive through the woods), and it’s very peaceful and quiet. We stayed in the superior double room, and it was great. Large and simply furnished...
