Detailed Reviews
The house is situated on a little road but has on site parking and gorgeous views. The room was basic but had all that you need for an overnight stay, including a TV. Breakfast was delicious - a full Scottish and Katie was accommodating on breakfast time and menu.
The B&B is a 15 minutes drive from Durness, Smoo Cave and the local beaches so easy to reach. Is great if you are looking for a quiet stay, away from the touristic hotspots.
Katie, our host, was very welcoming and was a pleasure to chat with her.

Stayed just the 1 night on a road trip but felt so welcomed and homely. Was welcomed by Katie who is an absolute gem, she showed us to our room and had a little chat. The place was spotless!!! Room was a good enough size with ensuite and Sky TV. We had our own lounge area, with again with Sky and the most wonderful view over the Loch, I could have sat and looked out for hours. Breakfast was preordered that night for a set time, which was fine as we knew it would be hot and fresh and boy was it! A fantastic breakfast, really good quality items and cooked perfectly. I could have stayed longer it was such a lovely place. I will certainly be returning! Thanks to Katie for looking after is so well.

Katie and Donnie warmly welcomed us. the house has wonderful views over the Loch and Ben Hope.
Our rooms were well appointed and had everything a guest could require. There was the advantage of a Guest Lounge, which meant that, after an evening meal at the Smoo Hotel, we could enjoy a drink and chat back at our Guest house. Katie and Donnie obviously enjoy their musical Ceilidhs and we felt privileged to be their guests for the night!

We stayed one night at Glenaladale B&B. The double room we had was a bit on the small side and looked a bit dated, but it had truly amazing views over Loch Eriboll. Breakfast was nice and Katie was friendly. The bathroom was a bit small but completely functional and clean. Beautiful Ceannabeinne Beach is very close, as well as Smoo Cave hotel, which we recommend for a meal.

I was looking for a place in Durness but couldn’t find anywhere, this B&B was just outside Durness.
Very friendly and good size room. The breakfast was the best we’ve had in a long time.
Would definitely recommend

Wonderful stay for our family, we were quite a large group but that was no trouble for Katie and Donnie. Rooms were spotlessly clean. Only stayed one night wish it could of been longer! so peaceful. beautiful surroundings, views were amazing, Katie recommended popping along to see Lottie Glob;s croft which was a wonder! popped to Smoo hotel for an evening meal scrummy steak pie!
On a chilly night the electric blanket was a great treat.
lovely little sing along in the evening once the kids were tucked up in their beds.
Dad and my hubby enjoyed a wee dram with Donnie!
Amazing breakfast in the morning, nothing was a bother even my fussy one who likes her egg fried crispy.
Thanks so much for a lovely stay.
Would love to pop back someday
(Katie i never found the shop with the lovely thistles :( )

I had a very peaceful and comfortable nights stay at Glenaladale, with a tremendously warm reception from Katie and Donnie. The B&B is perfectly kept, and the views are unbelievable, which adds to the quality of the stay.

There is nothing I could add to the five star reviews of this gem nestled by the shores of Lake Eriboll. Wonderful hosts, Excellent musical evening, although my humble accordion skills are not up to par with the hosts, Donnie and Kate, who are superb professionals. A memorable stay in a memorable setting.
