Braidhaugh Holiday Park is often commended for its cleanliness and well-kept grounds, with the hotel's location near Crieff and river Earn being a highlight for guests. While the hot tubs and other amenities are sometimes a hit-or-miss, the tranquil environment they offer is usually appreciated.
The rooms provide lovely views, though opinions vary regarding size and value, with some guests feeling the costs outweigh the benefits. Service is generally seen as welcoming, despite occasional lapses in consistency.

Premium Wigwam with Hot Tub - 3 nights.
Good: We loved every minute of our stay, had almost everything you needed, was a 10 min walk to the centre of Crieff with a handful of shops, restaurants and pubs. As well as an aldi and co-op near if you needed anything for cooking. Everyone at the park were really friendly, asked how you were doing when walking about and very helpful with showing us how to get the hot tub going. The surroundings were clean and quiet at night.
Not so good: We felt it could have been cleaned more thoroughly considering the pandemic, and the check in/out times being changed to allow more time for cleaning. In the premium wigwams we were required to bring our own bedding, towels and crockery inc pots, which would take a chunk of the housekeeping off the to do list. Out at 9:30am and in at 4:30pm. We also felt that considering they sell fishing permits for the fishery they would maintain the bank in front of the lodges, it’s a small stretch but you had to move out of the way of those wanting to walk as the weeds weren’t maintained. (Bare in mind they haven’t been open long since lockdown I suppose).
Having said all of that, we loved our stay, would consider coming back due to the wigwams having almost everything you need, the hot tub, a parking space, the friendly people and Crieff itself.

Stayed in the ness which is new this year with electric hot tub
It was lovely plenty space for family of four, kitchen well equipped has own bbq to buy or bring charcoal.
Really warm gch and great shower.
Short walk to town or few min in car local coop and Thiers Indian Chinese and chippy for takeaways
Few good pubs to eat in too and cafes in town
Near Crieff hydro for activities to keep kids amused.
Sits on the river and ducks plodding about the site
Tv in lounge has Netflix ect but no WiFi but can link to your phone easily so have data. We brought wee tv for bedroom and kids Xbox to keep them amused linked to phone for data.
Bring slippers and house coats for nipping in and out hot tub and plastic glasses would be an idea.
No music allowed outside to keep site quiet which was fine
Wee park few min walk good for younger kids and park for kicking a ball about.
For those with camper and pitch set up and shower block looked good
One pitch even had its own hot tub (not electric)
We though was good site and location and the lodge the ness was perfect :)

Welcoming check in, we were provided with information pack, keys and directions to our wigwam. 2 minute walk between Glen Turret and reception / bin area.
The wigwam was spotless! Beautiful location. It is just off the fishing path, loved going a walk down to the river in the morning with our coffees to check if the ducks made an appearance. The area itself is private but the fishing path is for everyone so you do get the odd person walking down. Wasn't a problem for us.
The hot tub is amazing, the hot tubs are emptied and refilled for every arrival so are clean. It took about 1/1.5 hours to initially heat it up with 1 bag of wood but we covered it up as soon as we were done with it so less wood and heating time. We used 6 bags while we were there. We were in it every night, once during the day and also had the fire pit going every night so depends on how you use them. We were given 2 bags on arrival with fire starters (remember your own lighter). It is £7 for 1 bag of top ups.
Everything you need in the wigwam, just bringing what you normally would do camping. Microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and 2 ring hob in the small kitchen. The pressure on the shower is not the best as we kept it on eco as requested but it gets you clean and there is he communal shower area if you want a better shower a minutes walk form the wigwam.
The weather was stunning while we were there, the lodge is quite covered with the trees so we went out a wander. Turn left at the gate to go over the bridge towards the town centre there are plenty shops. CO OP is the closest but if you keep walking for about 10 mins there is a range of shops, places to eat or grab a coffee. There is also a wee pub with an outdoor area but did not open until 4pm while we were there. Turn right at he gate there is a snack van, visitors centre and the Christmas Shop, if you love all things Christmas you need to go here the shop is beautiful.
We loved our stay and cannot wait to go back.

Lets start with Covid-19, you pick up your pass info from a secure locker each in a bag. The amenities block was OPEN for our visit but plenty of wipes, sprays, gels and information were available on site.
Tge pitch was serviced with electric, TV, water, grey waste and hard standing. Very spacious, local access to good walks on both quiet roads, forest and river. Tge site was spotless and local to town for a 20 minute walk to the centre. I would definately visit again but bring my fishing gear as the site has access to the river Earn. Well done during these trying times.

Booked a 2 night stay in the riverside hideout at Braidhaugh after staying here in October last year and having a great time. Due to Covid 19 we had received an email in advance to say that the check in times had changed from 4 to 4.30 and check out time from 10 to 9.30 to ensure an intense clean was given to all rooms. We arrived at the park at 5 o’clock after travelling and when entering the room I noticed that the floor looked as though it hadn’t been swept. I then looked in the fridge which was full of food from previous guests, hair and dirt around the bathroom and toilet seat and skid marks in the toilet. The shower was covered in shower scum and hair around the plug hole. I immediately went to reception to advise the managers that the room was filthy and had not been cleaned. The women seemed surprised by this and informed me that it should and been cleaned and I assured her that it hadnt been touched. She then checked and realised that our room had unfortunately been missed and that head of house keeping will be over to clean this as soon as possible. I stated that given the current circumstances with COVID-19 I did not feel comfortable with what had happened and asked if we could me moved to an alternative cabin and she stated that they were fully booked and that someone will be over to clean the room. Her husband arrived at the cabin with cleaning equipment and I asked how long this would take and he stated 20 minutes. Again I stated that I did not feel entirely comfortable with the room having a rushed clean with the current COVID-19 situation and he informed me that he ‘has all the sprays’. I continued to explain that I was not happy with what had happened and that this wasn’t acceptable especially considering that we had been advised prior of the ‘intense cleaning’ that takes place. The man apologised and began cleaning the room, 5 minutes into this he came out and advised us that there was a riverside cabin available for the night as the couple who had it booked weren’t due to arrive until the following day and that he could put us in there and swap over the bookings. After checking the cleaning standard of the new cabin we were happy and accepted to move into there. The man apologised again and stated that he will sort something else out for us due to the trouble we had on arrival which was very kind.
When checking out of the cabin I handed the keys to the women at the reception. I informed her that due to the trouble we had yesterday that her husband stated that he would sort us out with something else. The women abruptly stated that her husband ‘says a lot of things, I should know I’ve been married to him for 40 years’ and that she moved us room and that was enough. I advised that we were happy to be moved rooms but the situation that occurred wasn’t acceptable and her husband had assured that there was more that could be done. She shot this down and stated that, ‘that won’t happen’ and was extremely rude. My partner and myself really enjoyed our previous stay here but the experience we had this time was very disappointing. I appreciate the help from the managers husband but the attitude and customer service from the women was of a poor standard and unfortunately this along with the shambles on our arrival has put us off returning to stay here.

We had a wonderful time at Braidhaugh and will return. It seems really close to Crieff but it is exceptionally quiet.
We stayed in The Gaur which was a nice hidden riverside hideout. My children got up every morning to watch the sunrise and the ducks swimming downstream. I would have given 5 stars but there are a few things that niggled. There are no instructions so you’ve to figure out the heating, cooker etc by yourself. This caused an unnecessary phone call to reception. The lady was lovely but I’m sure she would rather be doing something else than telling people who to use the appliances 😆
Secondly, the hot tub was only useable the second night and cost almost £30 in logs to get it up to temperature. We started heating it up as soon as we arrived but it was so cold outside the hot tub wasn’t reaching temperature. We saw they were being changed to electric hot tubs and thank goodness because £30 for a couple of hours usage wasn’t good. Lastly, some solar lights or similar near the hot tub would be good. We did bring a light with us as requested but there was nowhere to hang it so we couldn’t see getting in and out of the hot tub.
Check what you need to bring because we brought all cutlery, crockery and cooking utensils as requested and they were already there so we were travelling with significant amounts of stuff we did not need. The sofa wasn’t the comfiest but it was actually comfier than the rock solid double bed so we actually had to switch with the children the second night.
We travelled to Auchengarrich Wildlife Park, went to the Meadow Inn for dinner in Crieff, had a walk around Crieff and then on the Sunday we visited Killin to go to the Falls of Darroch. The site is in a great location for exploring.
The park itself is lovely, the location of the hideout was stunning and when we had to contact them the staff were helpful. We will be back but with no kitchen equipment and thankfully no wood fired hot tub.

We loved the area, the river Earn flowing past the pod and the tranquillity of the riverside location. I was excited to look out for wildlife on the river.
Our initial perceptions were somewhat shattered as we were moved to a pod which was away from the river due to “a mistake” according to the management. We were told our new pod was a brand new large pod with electric hot tub so we were pretty happy, aside from not being riverside.
Unfortunately the guests in the lodge Woolley Willow next to us were a large group of young teenagers who were partying, drinking and playing loud thumping dance music (I felt sorry for the wildlife more than anything else). This group left the morning after we arrived so our minds could relax once more. Luck would have it that the next guests were a family with a young child who showed no respect for others on the site, the wildlife or environment. We spent the rest of the holiday arriving back from our day trips to hear loud thumping robotic music from the next lodge. We sat out on the decking to eat but they clearly didn’t care as the music persisted throughout most of our stay (not the most relaxing atmosphere).
We informed the management who said to contact the emergency number if it happened again and they would have a word with the noisy guests. We contacted them but got no answer. Basically we were ignored.
One day our key fob wouldn’t open the barrier. We rang reception who told us to wave down a lady who was approaching the barrier in her SUV and she would help. The lady was rude and accusatory, insinuating that it was my fault the key fob didn’t work. Maybe she needs some customer service training? I rose above it and had a little chuckle to myself.. oh well, nevermind I thought.
The site was nice, the pods were nice.
Some guests were loud and unpleasant and the management wouldn’t do anything to deal with this issue. It had to be endured.
One more thing.. Strathearn Rugby club like to train to thumping dance music most mornings about 8.30am so don’t expect a lie in on your holiday.
I’d stay again if these few issues were resolved, though admittedly there isn’t much anyone can do about the music tastes of Strathearn rugby club.

Stayed in the tummel lodge for 4 nights for my wife’s 40th birthday celebrations with our 5 year old twins.
Upon arrival it wasn’t clear how to check in, I had to go searching the site to find a member of staff to assist.
Eventually I was given keys to our lodge and given a site map to help me find its location on the park. The park was clean and tidy and looked well organised.
The management is a jobs worth power hungry unprofessional individual, because I was extremely nervous about leaving my van on the street and not parked up next to the lodge we were given 2 options, remove the van or be thrown off site with no refund! It clearly stated on our email in the terms and conditions 2 vehicles were allowed in the private bay provided so long as there is space for other vehicles to pass, which there was! We offered to leave the van in the space and move the car out into the car park, the ‘manager’ continued to make up nonsense excuses so wasn’t allowed that either! The result was we drove home dropping the van back off at the house which caused a massive headache of the day of our departure! (I used the van to take the kids bikes etc)
The lodge on first impressions looked nice, however when we looked around there was fixings hanging off, drawers broken in the bedroom and a half used packet of pate in fridge, we tried to use the cooker but that didn’t work so we spent our time there eating out the microwave. The bed is small and very uncomfortable. The hot tub was cold, even putting it up to the highest setting it remained tepid at best. Saturday night is clearly party night, right through to the small hours!
Will be travel there again, likely not.
Staycations are expensive and for what we got for our money we are left feeling disappointed!

Thank you your feedback, however there are a number of issue I would like to address. It states very clearly on our Guest information sheet and terms and conditions that only one vehicle is allowed to park at the lodge. This is a Fire Safety Regulation laid down by Tayside Fire Services. It also states very clearly that commercial vehicles and vans are not permitted on site and must go on the car park. As you did not report any other problems during your stay I cannot comment on your other issues, however nothing was found damaged and the hot tub was reaching the desired temperature

Stayed here this week in the Ardle Lodge with my 3 children. Only booked last week and the price was excellent. The lodge had everything we needed even down to the owners supplying things like dishwasher tabs, tea towel etc. The lodge was immaculate, hot tub was a great addition and in the perfect spot beside the river with complete privacy. We had the best stay, totally chilled out and would recommend to anyone. In terms of its situation it’s ideal close enough to Crieff and local amenities. Well done to all involved, I’ve been worrying about going away but the whole experience was a pleasure and I’m sure it won’t be long till I’m back.

My son, our dog and myself have just returned from a wonderful weekend spent here. We rented a standard wigwam and it was love at first sight. It was gorgeous and inside was spacious with sleeping space for at least 4 people. There is a small deck with a picnic bench and 2 benches at the front door and inside there is a kettle, toaster, microwave and a fridge with a freezer drawer. There as a little electrical radiator which kept the place really toasty and a small TV with free view. We also had a wee firepit outside the wigwam and we ordered logs from reception, they cost £7 and you got a bag of wood, some fire lighter sticks and a few squares of firelighters and it was delivered straight to my wee deck. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and were so helpful. The toilet and shower blocks were spotless as was the laundry area.
This definitely going to be my new go to for a wee break, buy next time I will make sure I book a cabin with a hot tub.

Lots of walks go up to Crieff hydro lots of set paths
Lots of places in town recommend the meadow inn
Good chippy too for takeaway
Activities good at Crieff hydro don't need to be staying thier to use
I booked through pitch up.
But I do not recommend this site if you are camping/caravanning.
Good luck.
Our lodge the ness was roasting and had gch
Yes fly only, roughly on a half - 3/4 mile stretch . I was fishing it few weeks ago water was low but got a couple of smaller trout on greenwells glory . You could also spin for salmon/sea trout but water is far too low at the minute. It’s worth sayin that the river is patrolled . Permits are 7 a day 20 for salmon.
