Detailed Reviews
Had a fab two days in Crieff seeing some family members. Arrived after 6 pm and Joe the proprietor was very easy, informed us of the covid issues and the characteristics of the room. We head out to the some people and returned after 10pm. Bed was very comfy. In morning headed out for a walk, Creiff has done fab river walks. On return had a fab vege breakfast each. With decaf coffee and toast. Also available was juice, cereals, numerous teas, yogurt. Later we headed out with family to Mcrosty park, great for walks and has a fab playpark for kids. Only a mile walk from Lovat house. We later returned to freshen up, shower is fab, heeps of warm water. Had a look around some shops, local COOP is just 2 mins walk away. Next day had the same breakfast and chatted with Joe on various topics. Food again was fab, we really enjoyed the Avacado with the vege breakfast. Later we headed off. Great B&B all grand. Cheers.

Nice little friendly B&B with approachable owner. Comfy well equipped room with comfy bed. Very clean and well set out. Shame that there was no kettle but a good coffee machine made good coffee when we worked it out. Shame that we were not informed that a cooked breakfast was not available as this was the big selling point and reason for choice. Window lock was broken / loose. No pets.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for us at Lovat house we really appreciate the feedback. We're disappointed not to be able to offer the usual food offering too as we are very proud of what we would normally offer and know that breakfast is a very important part of the day and also of your stay with us, that's why we take the breakfast bag order before arrival to make sure what we do offer is all ready and as it should be for you. Hopefully next time the restrictions will be lifted and we can offer our famous pancakes once again. Come back soon Joe

My wife and I had a very comfortable stay. The latest Covd lockdown was just starting, and Joe was most helpful in assisting us to find food locally. The hotel is very well situated in the centre of the town and under normal circumstances would have been ideally placed for the local restaurants and other amenities.

Owner met us at door . Not very smart as t-shirt didn’t look ironed! Stale food smell also and carpet did not look clean. In room the paintwork was very shabby and the furnishings chipped and looked unclean. Bed was comfortable and linen clean although there was a long black hair on the covers which was not mine! Headboard on the single bed was not secured properly and was wobble. Bathroom was clean however the shower must have been blocked as ended up standing in a pool of water. Breakfast was delivered in a bag which was fine but my croissant was not fresh and there was no butter or jam portions with it or milk for tea. Only coffee creamer !! Overall room needs to be upgraded and a little more general cleaning to make it smell fresher especially when entering . My mother said worst B and B she had stayed in . First trip away since lockdown so bitterly disappointed.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to leave such a lengthy review, it warms my heart to think that you are thinking of Lovat house for so long. I'm sorry that you didn't appreciate all the hard work and increased measures we have taken to keep you and our selves safe in this period of phase three post lockdown due to covid-19, we must have been so engrossed in cleaning and managing the situation that we neglected to choose clothing that was more pleasing to your eye and more to your taste and for this I can only apologise. I do hope you find what you're looking for next time you travel. Warmest wishes Joe

Having chosen this b&b because of the high rating and good reviews we were very disappointed as it was very shabby with stale smell. Breakfast in a bag a total let down. Warm orange juice, croissant with no jam/butter etc. Don’t see why we couldn’t have had a proper breakfast (which we had paid for!) as got proper breakfast in other b&bs. Shower over bath awful! Linen and towels clean enough. Was told at door to take shoes off but carpet was not exactly luxury or even particularly clean. Won’t return or wouldn’t recommend.

Booked two nights at Lovat House as attending a wedding in the area. Joe the host is great and made us feel very welcome. Handy map of the town with useful information on restaurants and taxi's etc in our room. We stayed in the family room which was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space and storage. The waterfall shower was amazing - best shower I've experienced in a B & B. Tea and coffee facilities in the room and my hubby was over the moon as it's not just instant coffee but a machine. Breakfast is to die for - we had the full scottish and I tried the pancake stack too, absolutely delicious. Plenty of choice with fruit and yoghurt, cereals, toast etc for those not wanting a cooked breakfast. Overall can highly recommend Lovat House as excellent value for money and would definitely book to stay again without hesitation.

+1
I had a great stay at Lovat House for 3 nights to catch up with my sister and friends.
Crieff is a lovely place to visit and Lovat House is within walking distance to the Town Centre and all amenities.
After a busy day its nice to come back to a lovely Huge room, with a very comfortable bed and the rainfall shower was very luxurious.
The Breakfast was freshly cooked, with a great coffee and juice. Next time I'm having the pancakes.
All Covid rules were followed which gives you peace of mind.
I will definitely be back. Hopefully soon.

We had a fantastic family stay at Lovat House. The B&B is excellently situated which allowed us to enjoy the lochs and mountains. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable and we all had a great nights sleep with a delicious breakfast to set us up for the day. Joe is a great host and with invaluable local knowledge to help you make the most out of your stay.
I would highly recommend hiring paddle boards from Board Silly (organised by Joe) and collection from the B&B to make the most of the Lochs.

We had really looked forward to stay here. Great was our shock that the ground floor room that we had booked was not like the beautiful pictures indicated. The bed area is just like on the picture, but that is where it stops. The rest of the room felt as if we were in a charity shop, the carpets were not giving a hygienic feeling and the bathroom totally outdated. We had originally had booked two nights and decided to leave straight after breakfast. As we had only paid one night in advance, we were surprised that the owner Joe, charged our credit card after we have left for the second night. Very, very disappointing. Contact the owner to sort this, but he never responded to my emails. Oh well... one learns all the time...

Oh dear I'm sorry we were not for you, we can't be for everybody as we all have different tastes. It's difficult to comment on pictures that were the same but different and an 'outdated' bathroom that dosen't look like the picture, not really sure how this can happen, all we can say is that the pictures were taken after the last time the room was changed. When you booked the room the night before your arrival you would have known we don't take a booking for one night as we have a minimum two night stay through the summer and you may have seen in your confirmation that we offer a very generous 24hr cancelation policy therefor to leave in the morning before the second night you are within that 24 hr and must pay for the full stay, it seems obvious but its in place so that people don't book two nights then only stay one. We hope you find what you're looking for in your future travels Joe

I was visiting Crieff for a few days and stayed at Lovat House. It is conveniently located as you come into the town from the south. The room was comfortable with good en-suite facilities and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
