Stayed Autumn 2007. Due to bad weather we arrived late but were greeted with sympathy and were showed to a room that far surpassed what we expected, especially at the price paid. Breakfast served on 1 long table allowed us to meet other guests and share travel experiences. The food, some of it home baked, was amongst the best fry...

My husband and I spent two nights in the Harbourside Guesthouse. The location is excellent and especially convenient if you come in on the ferry from Scrabster. Our room was a decent size. The decor is not luxurious, but it's quite homey. The owners are extremely friendly, and the breakfasts were excellent. I agree with the reviewer who loved the...

First the positives: the owners are very friendly and helpful, the accommodation is very handy for the ferry and central to Stromness and the breakfast was generous and good quality. On the down side, the room decor was fairly dated and it was cold - we needed the extra heating on in June (no central heating). The owners have not...

This is a nice B&B in Stromness, which I think is more intimate and charming than Kirkwall. The breakfast is superb - we had probably the best scones we've ever had. Maureen said she made them from her mother's recipe. Both Maureen and Magnus were very nice. Our room was in the Harbourside Guest House, which is a separate building...

We arrived in Stromness at 8:30 PM on our first day of driving on the left, and did not want to have to navigate in the dark. One reason we chose this B&B--other than the good reviews--was its location near the ferry. They do not have parking, but the public parking nearby was fine. The breakfasts were excellent, including lots...

I think we got the last available room...the room was small but nicely furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is great for walking to a variety of restaurants. The most remarkable thing is the breakfast. Served in a lovely room with a beautifully set table, breakfast included so many nice choices, that I wanted to stay more days to...

Very old houses, convenient for bus and ferry terminal. Arrived late, due to poor ferry connections. Met in the street by Maureen, owner. Very comfortable and well furnished rooms, spacious, better than many hotels. Incredible breakfast, as listed in revue above, much of it home made. The fish porridge and barley bread is not to be missed Very heipful, beyond...

Millers House and Harbourside Guest House is located opposite the harbour in Stromness. As this town can be very difficult to drive in the B&B is located near all the shopping areas that you can easily walk to. It is located near several restaurants in the town. Accomodations are European style, spotlessly clean with colorful prints on the beds and...
