This was the first of the Orkney isles we visited after the mainland and it was truly a delightful stay in a lovely location with brilliant views. Tom and Maureen were extremely welcoming and all the meals we had were excellent, brilliant menu and service. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The hotel has a great cosy little bar...

So glad we discovered this gem. We were housed in a B&B which we had to ourselves for the night -literally which was lovely and we were left milk and coffee and a run of the house. The dinner food in the main hotel was good enough. The breakfast was poor - fresh fruit was old banana and couple of...

I stayed here for five nights and enjoyed everything - the friendly owners, Maureen and Tam, the lovely breakfasts, the dinners, and especially the homemade desserts. My room was very cosy and comfortable. Open fire to sit by each evening, even in summer. Highly recommend this lovely small hotel. Hopefully I'll be back one day soon.

This is a great place to enjoy an evening meal with astounding views over the Pentland Firth, Scapa Flow and the islands. You can watch passing liners, oil tankers, ferries, cargo ships and even aircraft while you tuck into wonderful food. We ate twice in our week long stay. You must book ahead! Everything on the menu is superb and...

I stayed one night and look forward to going back. I got a nice room downstairs as there were gales forecast so that it would be quieter. The room was warm and spacious with a TV and Wi-fi available. The ensuite shower room was grand too. The owners were friendly and helpful and I sat by the open fire to...
