I took my gran and granda as a treat for afternoon tea. The sandwiches were quite big in size which i enjoyed compared to other places where it can be bitesize. Staff where very helpful and service was good. The restaurant was lovely and very spacious. So we didn't feel cramped For £8 pp this was great value for money.

Stayed in the Alona through work for three weeks Monday to Friday. Beautiful surroundings, lovely clean and comfortable rooms, easy links from the motorway. Top of the list though has to be the staff. From checking in to leaving on a weekend I never felt alone here. There was always a friendly smile or a wave. There is nothing you...

Great hotel with very welcoming staff. Have been a regular at this hotel for work and by far my favorite. The hotel amenities are very clean and welcoming. The food is excellent I would recommend highly the beef medallions as well as the pork. Big portions but of great quality. The breakfast is large and sets you right up for...

Great welcome at reception and complimentary drink. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. Shower gel and shampoo bottles had been topped up with water, however it had separated so top third of each bottle was just coloured water and only bottom third correct consistency of product. Restaurant service slow. Another guest was on their phone speaking very loudly and swearing...

The Alona is a first class hotel set in beautiful surroundings with easy access to the motorway network. Currently there are major roadworks at Junction 5 of the M74 and this area should be avoided but the hotel is easily accessed from junction 6. I stayed for three days and enjoyed some lovely evening meals in the restaurant where the...

I always top in the Alona Glasgow when on business in the Motherwell area. The food is excellent, but the staff are the best asset. I am always remembered and greeted warmly. I won't go anywhere else.

Stayed here overnight on a quick family visit to Scotland. Spacious room and ensuite bathroom with shower over bath. Room was well equipped with trouser press and iron. Tea/coffee tray with local favourite of Tunnocks caramel wafer! We had dinner in the restaurant which exceeded our expectation. Breakfast was also very enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

Thank Margaret H
