Unique characterful lodge 5 miles from Elgin. Uninterrupted views over Lossiemouth's west beach and the famous Old Tom Morris designed Old Course of Moray Golf Club's two links courses. This was formerly Ivy Cottage, the original clubhouse for Moray Golf Club since it was founded in 1889. Family friendly, business friendly. (Sorry we cannot take pets). Winner of Scotland's Friendliest B&B 2011. Close to RAF Lossiemouth, Gordonstoun School. At the end of the Malt Whisky Trail on the A941. Very proud of our TripAdvisor reviews and grateful to all who submitted them.
I am just home from an over night at Links Lodge B&B.
Myself and a friend used it to stay overnight while we were attending an event nearby.
What a super find! It is beautifully decorated with real attention to every detail. We had a family room (double and single beds) and the room was spacious. And toasty warm too (radiators have thermostats so you can adjust to suit). The en-suite shower room was also roomy and spotless. Fresh milk was offered for our tea in the room too.
The beds, pillows, bedding were oh so comfy!
With sea views we couldn't have asked for more. And then to round it all off we had a fabulous cooked breakfast. I only live 35 miles away but I could happily have booked myself in for a wee break. Thank you for a warm and friendly welcome - i will be recommending you to everyone now.
On arrival, I was greeted by the owner who showed to my room and made me feel very welcome. The room was really excellent, very comfortable and with every attention to detail which you don’t always find in some hotels. There was a very comfortable bed, a large flat screen TV , a nice bathroom with shower. The room could not be faulted. Breakfast was very nice too, the porridge is delicious and there was a comprehensive buffet and cooked breakfast. My car had been parked on the road outside and at some point another vehicle had run into the back of it. This caused some damage and it was not in a condition to drive. John and Angela-the owners of the Links Lodge could not have been more helpful. They phoned the police, made enquiries with local people and even offered to drive me to Elgin to catch a train. I was most impressed by everything about this lovely B & B and the owners.
My better half and I stayed only 1 night at Links Lodge and we wished it was more. From the moment we arrived, Angela made us very, very welcoming me and was so lovely... even giving us a sample of her freshly baked Banana Loaf. It was still warm and amazing!!!
The room we had was also top class! Absolutely spotless with a brand new Smart TV and well stocked hit drinks selection. Extremely spacious and the bathroom was an inspiration!
Breakfast in the morning was simply delicious as well.
As far as B&B’s go Links Lodge is the nicest we have ever stayed in by quite a stretch. I can not recommend it highly enough!
We are definitely planning a return for a full weekend in 2019. See you next year Angela!!
We spent one night at Links Lodge and it was excellent. Huge bed and the room was well stocked with the usual hot drink options. Our room had a great view and It was cleaned to a very high standard but best of all was the breakfast. Freshly cut fruit, and amazing fruit juice. I did not have the cooked breakfast but there was everything you could have wished for on the menu including porridge.
We unfortunately only had one night here, but thoroughly recommend it. The hosts are lovely people and the location couldn't be better if you want a round of golf or a walk on the beach. Breakfast was great..
