Our room was massive. It was old school in style but with a new bathroom. The hotel itself had an element of stepping back in time (in a good way) and went well with our romantic ideas about Scotland! We loved the bar, playing chess on the beautiful board, walking around the grounds and the staff were great. Would go...

The date of our stay was actually Nov 2015 but the app won't let me go back that far. We went up to knockomie to celebrate our birthdays and have a short break, on the way we rolled our car just past Perth, we ended up in hospital in Dundee and didn't make it to the hotel until the next...

My husband and I come here regularly with our golden retriever "Ollie". Gavin & Penny are very friendly as are the staff . Coming from a hotel background I have nothing to complain about , foods lovely , great choice at the bar. There are very limited dog friendly hotels within Moray , they go out of their way and...

Visited this place at the end of Feb with friends. Driving down the long Tree lined driveway which gives way to the to ample parking and a Grand Building dating back to 1810. Upon entry a smooth and efficient check-in procedure with the Most welcoming, friendly and professional staff and manager. We had arrived quite late but the manager was...

Visited the hotel a few weeks back, and we were very impressed. firstly we were sat by the fire for our coffees but decided to stay for lunch. Although it was a quiet time our service and food was to an excellent standard, we were not rushed and felt right at home with a real personal touch. Although we did...

Very comfortable overnight stay at this hotel. All the staff very friendly and attentive. Room was very comfortable with French windows opening onto the gardens adding to the country house feeling. Excellent shower. Unfortunately did not eat there on this occasion but will be back.

This is as much a thank you as a review. While attending a wedding at another Forres hotel, on of the party had too much to drink and missed his last train home. Our hotel phoned about and at midnight on a Saturday night accepted a reservation from us for this gent. Full congrats to the two young members of...

Came to stay at the hotel last minute for my friends birthday. Had the twin room on the ground floor and could not be more pleased with the hotel and the service experience we had. Came here for an anniversary weekend away and was pleasantly surprised. The room was beautiful with a four poster bed and - because of an offer on their website - a bottle of champagne chilling on arrival. Rooms were named after whisky - our room was called Aberlour (we were delighted as we'd mentioned when booking we had relatives there)....
