When we arrived there was no one to open the door for us until we called the number we used to reserve. A young girl came over from next door to let us in. The place seemed abandoned. I wondered if there had been a family emergency or something. Our rooms were to an earlier standard, that is they were... More

Now the second time we've stayed in this guesthouse. It has lovely friendly staff who are always happy to help, a play room that is great for kids, mine loved it, and a tea room that serves amazing breakfast rolls. Also lovely rooms with a really comfy bed.

After visiting nearby Rosslyn Chapel -fabulous- we decided to grab a quick spot of lunch in the Tea Room. The menu was not extensive, offering mainly soup and Sandwiches but this was exactly what we fancied. Sadly the soup was finished so we just had sandwiches which were lovely and fresh! ( tuna mayo highly recommended ) The tea was... More

I very rarely give bad reviews and I am really trying to find good things to say about this place - so the good things first - location - only a mere stones-throw away from the famous Roslin Chapel. Free wifi and free parking and friendly staff/owner/manager. That's about it - sadly... The interior is dated and the floorboards squeak... More

To be fair it has to be said that they were doing renovations while we were staying there. We only slept over the one night. They allowed us to check in early, which was quite a pleasant surprise. The room was medium sized, with a drawer, a TV and a coffee station. Bathroom had a toilet, basin a shower. Everything... More

Good clean guest house. Beds were very comfortable with gorgeous linen. Lovely products in the bathroom. Yes it's a bit tired but I like that, feels more genuine and homely. Amy, the woman who owns the place, could not have been more friendly and helpful. Would stay here again.

Beautiful building Best way to describe it, gut it and start again Old dark wood giving drab greeting inside the front door Whole place needs a huge redecoration before it gets gutted Room, awful mis matched furniture, flimsy wardrobe, hangars that don't match. Bed, huge indentation in mattress nearest bathroom Tea and coffee, everything rammed into 2 cups every day... More

Nice tidy clean quaint historic creaky timber floors interior decorating is unusual. Tired needs some renovation. found used soap in the shower. Good value friendly staff. Across the road from a lovely pub with good value food. 5 mins walk to Rosslyn Chapel.

We called in for hot drinks recently. There is a rather strange mix of aesthetics to be seen here and some very odd tables and chairs in the Daisy tea room. On the left as one enters there is a room which looks more like a kids' nursery than somewhere guests would venture. Lots of toys strewn around and tables... More

Popped in to the Tea Room to warm up after a visit to the Chapel (not a lot of choice in the vacinity!) and ordered some soup for two people. Tea room itself very tired looking to say the least, anyway, back to the food. Wife ordered a mug of Soup and bread at £2.95 I ordered a mug of... More
