Stayed for a night in April It's pricey, the room was basic and the bathroom door did it shut or lock Beds were ok It's got a grip on the market as anyone wanting to stay and visit the chapel will book here (we were visiting friends not the chapel) This is not a bad place but for over £100...

I had previously complained about the lack of working wifi at The Original. I was there again this week and I am happy to report that there is now good connectivity throughout the building. So I will be back! We had a pleasant stay, enjoyed their spectacular breakfasts, helpful staff and friendly bar and restaurant in the evening.

We stayed here whilst visiting family. We paid £100 for a double room. The room was small with no not one bedside table. The cobwebs on the ceiling where quite artistic (see photo). We could not pull the flush at night due to the horrendous noise. We asked for some sandwiches to take to our room, paid £17.95 for three...

We booked our room very last minute and were lucky to get one as the hotel was hosting a wine tasting and was extremely busy. Our room even though a family room was very small - but that's old buildings for you. The shaving light wasn't working - new bulb? The wall light to the left of the window wasn't...

Lovely Inn. Not huge but just what we needed. The dining room is lovely with big portions and the breakfast included haggis. We were not left hungry! Stayed in a 4 poster room. Bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows in the wardrobe. Fan in bathroom was very noisy but not an issue. Room was spacious and clean....

Having been in Edinburgh twice this year we decided to venture outside the city and visit the beautiful Roslin chapel. We certainly were not disappointed and after a 35-40 minute bus ride we arrived in the village of Roslin and followed the signs for the chapel. It is set in beautiful roaming countryside and is s truly awesome building with...

After a walk at Roslin Glen we stopped in for some lunch with our dog. Accidently went into the wrong bit which doesn't allow dogs and the girl behind the bar was quite rude in telling us so! However we popped next door to the bar where there were already 2 other dogs. Everyone in the bar was so chatty...

We stayed here for just one night recently, but it was a very pleasant experience. The room in this graceful old inn was very nice, and totally up to date. The on-site pub was cozy and the food delicious. The location is fantastic - just a short walk to the magnificent Rosslyn Chapel, and just about 10 miles to downtown...
