We stayed here a few years ago and it has stuck in our mind ever since. We were given a warm welcome by Hugh and Isobel and were treated to scones and tea. Hugh and Isobel were great hosts, so warm and friendly and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was also very good too! We loved our stay there and...

We cannot rate our stay at Mingulay highly enough. Great location in Whiting Bay just a short stroll from some great places to eat (including Coast, Trafalger Restaurant & the Coffee Pot) with fantastic views from the breakfast table over Whiting bay. However what really made the stay for us was the welcoming hospitality of Hugh and Isobel. We were...

Spotless, warm and very comfortable with smashing breakfasts (kindly served late on New Years Day). Also, B&B has a terrific location in the centre of the village with a fantastic view of the Firth of Clyde from the elevated garden. Angus & Cheryl, Glasgow

Hugh welcomed us in when we arrived, and we were treated to an afternoon tea of fresh scones and cake! Great venue, with two guest rooms and a living / dining room which is made available all day with books, TV, games and a lovely view over Whiting bay and the sea beyond. Great breakfasts too, with eggs, sausage, bacon,...

Spent 2 lovely nights at the Mingulay B&B. Isobel and Hugh treated us like friends from the start and took very good care of us. I highly recommend staying with them if you on the Isle of Arran.

My wife and I have stayed at Mingulay 4 times over the last 3 years and have thoroughly enjoyed each stay. The tranquility of the location, the stunning views, the hearty breakfast, and the hospitality of the owners, Hugh and Isabel, all make for a wonderfully relaxing stay. Both rooms - the Otter Room and the Dolphin Room - have...

We stayed for 2 nights, attending a friend's birthday party not far away in Whiting Bay. The weather was terrible! - but we slept well, had a terrific breakfast and enjoyed watching Isobel feeding the (wild) ducks in the mornings. The breakfast room has a lovely view across the sea and it's a short walk to the art gallery and...

As the title says, everything a bed and breakfast should be. The couple who run it are fantastically friendly & welcoming, greeting us with tea and cake upon arrival (even catering for our dietary needs). There are only two guest rooms but these are well furnished, comfortable and clean. The house itself is right on the beachfront thus having fantastic...
