This hotel is currently being upgraded and once the new bridge opens next year will be very busy. Situation is not good if you want to go for a walk but the hotel has everything you need. Rooms, food, staff all excellent. Not pretty from outside but the quality of the rooms makes up for this. Good stop over, just... More

I would have gone to another hotel except it was Edinburgh Festival week and everywhere was full. The day i arrived was the day they were trying to get everything working after major renovation. The room was fine except... no wifi, anywhere in fact, even lobby very difficult to connect, in the rooms, nothing. Complained to reception multiple times, even... More

I arrived after a long day and was welcomed with a friendly attentive face. After an initial mix up over booking I went up to my room. Fresh and newly done up with plenty room to work. Bed was huge and very comfortable. Dinner was tasty. Attentive service again. Breakfast was ok but would have liked it a little fresher... More

In need of painting on the outside and new elevators but my room was fantastic! there was no mention of breakfast at all or any amenities so unable to comment on those. I believe this hotel is being improved and once completed if it is to the standard of my bedroom will be a fantastic place to stay.

Sometimes as a facilitator you find yourself working in badly lit hotel training rooms with no windows and very little ventilation - not so here. Big windows, plenty of light, space to move around between the caberet style room layout. Fresh tea and coffee supplied quietly and promptly at the back of the room without disturbing delegates and a very... More

This hotel is undergoing refurbishment and the rooms were of a very high standard. The staff were all very friendly and helpful which makes all the difference. The hotel is well situated for visiting the city of Edinburgh or in our case the airport.

We were heading to the Highlands for a driving holiday, as we had set off late we decided to stop overnight here and continue the next day. First impression, the location is very good. Just off the Forth road bridge. In fact the hotel overlooks the road and rail bridge, and the new bridge which is being constructed is right... More
