Elisabeth is a friendly attentive host with a beautiful bed and breakfast overlooking the Firth of Forth. Tucked below the railbridge the BnB offers easy access in and out of Edinburgh either by car or public transport.

Four adults stayed for 4 nights in two rooms. Very warm welcome by owner, Elizabeth. Gave us tea and cake on arrival. Rooms are clean and homely with many little touches like assortment of teas and tin of biscuits. We both had rooms in the front so fantastic views of Forth and two bridges. The railway bridge is right overhead...

Short stay with our 2 children. Rooms extremely clean with everything provided. Views from rooms are simply stunning. Owner Elizabeth is a true gem. Nothing too much trouble. Extremely attentive with the children. Breakfast fit for a King & no rush to leave.... Will definitely be returning v soon. Would highly recommend.

Three of us (adults) stayed in this B&B for three nights. Rooms are spotless; beds are comfortable; cooked breakfast is huge! But the gem is Elizabeth the owner! Friendly, kind, chatty. I can't rate it highly enough! We will hopefully get the chance to go back. Just 20 minutes by train to the centre of Edinburgh! Perfect place to stay!

Spent 3 nights there, lovely little house with nice and calm rooms. Our hosts so kind and with a great hospitality, lots of advice for visiting places. Stunning views of the bridges from the conservatory and through the hidden door. Hope to come back next year !

I don't normally return to a hotel but Northcraig B&B location and hospitality drew me back on my second visit to Edinburgh a year on. I rang up on spec on 30 Dec not really expecting there to be any rooms on New Year's Eve; after reminding Elisabeth of my previous visit she kindly made two rooms available for me...

I had never been to Scotland before, but to start my trip staying underneath such an iconic structure... I was spellbound. What an amazing place. The trains don't worry you as they go overhead, they stop at night anyway and pass so fast you don't notice. Elisabeth was a very warm and friendly host, she really cared about her guests,...

It was a great room with a very hospitable host and she is on contact with local restauranters to gain lovely meals later in the day! You are only 10 minutes from the train station to get to Dundee & beyond to the north or Edinburgh & beyond to south, or 2 minutes from a bus stop serving Edinburgh!

Elisabeth is a first class hostess, warm and welcoming and a very interesting person. The breakfast is well cooked and of good quality. I'm sure the portions got bigger every day ! Northcraig is the last cottage in the row and was built before the bridge, which it is under. The rumbling trains are no deterrent to a night's sleep...

A very nice bed and breakfast. Room with great views of the (3) bridges of Edinburgh. Great breakfast and warm welcome. Very easy to find. Parking for your car is just under the window. Nice walking around the little harbour in front of the house
