We had a nice stay at Balcomie Links for a couple of days over the Crail food festival weekend. OK its not the Ritz but you have to bear in mind the very reasonable rates. We were made to feel welcome and found our bedroom to be very spacious and clean with nice view of the sea in the distance....

Thank you for taking time to put up your review. Please to hear you had an enjoyable stay. Sorry about the internet, it's the price you pay when you live in a beautiful but rural area. We look forward to welcoming you again in the future.

Stayed there for two nights with my partner during a golf week-end in Scotland. We had a twin bed room as no double bed was available. The room was mall and quite noisy. The bathroom was tiny (had to sit sideways on the toilet) and the decor very tired. The TV is tiny and the beds rather uncomfortable. The breakfast...

Thank you for your review. Our rooms do come in different shapes and sizes, as it is an old building with a character and not a boutique hotel. We do try to cater for most diets and do have soya milk available on request. We do not hold a big choice of breakfast cereals but there are enough choices for...

Stayed for 3 nights whilst visiting our granddaughter at uni. Could not have been more pleased with our stay. The owners were most welcoming and the room we were staying in (room 12) was perfect. Breakfast was excellent and evening bar meals were perfectly cooked. I consider that the price we paid and the service we received could not be...

This is a review of the restaurant. I arrived with my toddler grandson at 1.45 hoping for lunch still to be available. The place was deserted but I ventured into the bar area (strictly off limits to children, leaving the wee boy on a chair) to find a man (proprietor?) who confirmed we could have lunch. He brought two rather...

Thank you for your review. We are a bit surprised to hear your comments, regarding not being welcoming or state of our menus and facilities. High chairs are available upon request, we do not leave them lying around the dinning area for health and safety reasons. Baby Changing facilities are available within the disable toilet, by the reception area, yes,...

Bar area is dog friendly which was a plus and our little doggie fell fast asleep under our feet as we had our lovely dinner. I had scampi and chips which was as you would expect scampi and chips to be. My husband had the fresh trout with almond flakes and said is was lovely very fresh and accompanied by...

Arrived at Crail 22 August with holiday cottage booked and paid for . No key in proposed place . Waited over an hour then gave up . Went to Balcomie Links Hotel at 6 0pm and was given a large comfortable room with a superb sea view . The deal for 5 nights with breakfast was more economical than the...

Stayed here on the August bank holiday weekend for two nights. The hotel is in a good location and only 9 miles from St Andrews with plenty of picturesque villages around. We were in room 2 which gave you fantastic views of May island and the Firth of Forth. The room was clean and tidy but a little dated. Breakfast...

Stayed here on business working in Crail, this is a budget hotel but has everything necessary for a short stay in the area. The town centre and beach/harbour area are within walking distance. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. Plenty of parking available. Recommended.

We had a family room with our 7 year old twins, lovely and clean bunk bed room with power shower. Lovely breakfast, nice bar meal, convenient for beach, a short walk into Crail (no more than 10 minutes). Overall a lovely stay, would rate it more than 2 stars. We stayed in room 10.
