Party of 10 people rocked up with no booking on a Tuesday evening. The young waiter was friendly, patient and dealt with our awkward group (the children changed tables and seats a few times during the meal, were indecisive with ordering, had allergies) with good humour. The food was tasty, all arrived at the same time, generous portions, reasonably priced...

Poor cleanliness and a general lack of attention to detail let the place down. Not worth £100 per night. Breakfast was ok but customer service average. Put off by some local hanging around constantly and making silly comments, not professional.

The landlady was up and drinking with the one other guest till gone 2 am the last night I was there and that was the final straw. Doors banging shut every half hour or so just did my head in. I went down and asked her to turn of the music and stop banging the doors at 1.45 am on...

We wandered in between conventional mealtimes and to our surprise we were welcomed in. Dorset is a bit funny like that - always complaining there are not enough visitors but then shut their dining rooms early and send the staff home. Not this place though. Our lunches were tasty and delicious. This is a gem. We enjoyed large plates of...

We booked here on a spur of the moment thing so didnt really know what to expect. We were greated my a lovely lady who checked us in, very polite and helpful. We didnt go straight up to our room as we wanted a couple of drinks and some food. The menu was quite good and had some nice choices,...

My son, sister and I stayed here for 2 nights as we were attending a wedding in Lulworth. We each had a double with en suite and breakfast for £50 per night. My sister and I had shower rooms but my son got lucky and got a bath! We arrived at about 5.30pm on the Friday but there was no...

End of a weeks holiday thought it would be nice to have a cream tea. Scones disgusting, crockery dirty and MOULD on the sponge cake. Was still asked to pay for the drinks. Not a nice end to a lovely week.

The basic problem with Anglebury House is that it needs updating. Whilst accepting that it is an old building, you can’t get away from the fact that the bedrooms and bathrooms are tired. However, on the plus side, it does have the advantage of being in the town centre and easy reach of the amenities. Service is good and friendly,...

I visited Wareham for the day on business. I did not stay overnight therefore I cannot comment/rate the rooms etc, I did however stop for lunch. The specials board outside caught my eye, home - made food for under £10! Great value I thought, as the previous pub I'd been into was selling microwaved bangers and mash for £10+. I...

I booked for a Sunday night and mentioned in my confirmation email that I would arrive about 5pm and looked forward to dining in the restaurant. As I was on my own, on arrival I thought I would settle in, have a drink or coffee in the bar and dine in. The menu on line looked really good. However, I...
