My parents booked their family in to Plumber Manor the night before their golden wedding anniversary lunch, being held at Plumber Manor. We had a fantastic dinner ... really well executed courses oozing with taste. The wine was exceptional … Côtes du Rhône, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc … someone has a very good nose! We all had lovely bedrooms...

Stayed at Plumber Manor for two lovely days with friends. We stayed in the converted barn with a beautiful view of the lake and tulips in bloom. The room was spacious but needs an update. The window seats were very cozy. New drapes and slipcovers would make it absolutely charming. The meals were outstanding and the proprietor very entertaining. I...

The Plumber Manor in deepest Dorset is a little gem set in rural Dorset. Throughout the stay the staff made the journey worthwhile & comfortable. The bar is well stocked, the hotel owner adds a sense of humour to the evening events after dinner. The hotel gardens & surrounding countryside is idyllic. Recommended... Absolutely. Thanks Gordon x 😉

So I have heard great things about this hotel. Impressing my mum every year is getting harder and harder and this year I succeeded. From start to finish this was a joyful evening. We turned up early as I had set off in good time to find it and we were rapidly settled in front of the fire. Lovely people,...

Had a very nice evening meal here. The setting looks lovely, though shame we arrived in the dark on a wintery evening. Nice entrance hall and a very attractive building. Rather 'dated' lounge with a bar which was really not in keeping. The roaring log fire was not roaring, pitty. Service was attentive. The menu is good and varied, though...

This ancient Dorset Manor house has been owned the Prideaux Brune family for several generations. the master is a genial cove called David brune and his brother is the chef. David converted it into a country hotel some 30 years ago. he dominates an excellent bar where apart from dispensing all kinds of interesting drinks he dispenses wit and wisdom...

It's 12 years since I stayed here last, but the Prideaux-Brunes don't seem to have aged at all. This visit was only for lunch, and I felt blessed to get that. I called a week ago to book for this Sunday and was told they were fully booked. The lady (I suspect Mrs P-B) took my number and promised to...

Efficient and friendly welcome for us and our dog. Very comfortable room with good facilities. The gardens are beautiful and dinner was outstandingly good. The owner and all the staff are so friendly and I'm really looking forward to going back. Enjoyable country walk on footpath almost from our bedroom. Not far to drive to visit Dorset attractions like Lulworth...

A delightful manor house set in a lovely part of Dorset, close to many main attractions including Thomas Hardy history. Richard (the owner) is a unique character and tends to all his customers cheerfully. His son is the chef and provides delicious meals, that you would not want to venture far from the manor to find somewhere else to eat....
