We stayed just the one night and would gladly stayed for another. The ambience was great, with friendly staff, excellent bedroom, fabulous food, varied gin and cider menu and good wine list. We also had a brilliant breakfast - the sausages we meaty and tasty.

My husband and I, in need of a break, booked in for a 4 day stay last week. We had dined at the restaurant before and been impressed with it. What a delight Gavin (landlord/owner/helmsman of The Ship) and his staff are. Nothing is too much trouble and their genuine warmth and friendliness are contagious. We ate there most evenings...

This inn was a delightful choice for a Saturday evening. The venue was clean and very well presented. All members of staff were friendly. There was a really nice selection on the menu. We all had three courses and all were presented well and tasty. I'd highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.

Stayed a couple of nights in room 1. Very comfortable and clean and had everything you could need. Too early start so missed breakfast but food in the bar was excellent and the owners and staff were all very efficient and friendly.

Yeah nice place...good friendly staff and good food. A good atmosphere in here. The Ales were very well kept also. The locals and guests all seemed very happy and jolly. The only negative was that the male toilets needed cleaning.

Excellent pub with up to date decor and surroundings. Loved the vegi club and the scotch egg was huge!! Loved the bathroom with its quirky sinks and taps. We needed a decent pub in the area and this provides just that. Will come again
