We stayed for one night in September while on our way to visit friends in Sout Brent. It was a great stopping over place and had we had time for a longer stay was perfectly situated to take advantage of other local delights such as Lyme Regis. The room and bed were comfortable and well presented and overlooked the pool....

Just stayed one night, thought was tempted to extend it after the first night, and probably would have been swayed if the price was a bit lower. The hotel is easy to find and well situated - in summer you'd be able to use the coastal path to walk into Lyme in the evenings, but not in the winter dark!...

We stayed for two nights. Our room was good, the bathroom a bit small. Bed was comfortable. Clean and comfortable all round. We ate in the main restaurant on the first night. We found the ambience not good. It was dark and a bit staid. The food was fine. We changed from eating in the restaurant on the second night...

We stayed for one night for a birthday treat, but wished it could have been longer! We were greeted on arrival with a complimentary pot of tea and slices of Dorset apple cake, which was delicious. Our room, overlooking the front and side of the hotel was very clean and spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had...

Stayed one night in this charming hotel - had been there for dinner thirty years ago and while passing this area decided to see how it had changed. For the better is the answer - kept up with modern standards and fulfilled expectations but superb "old fashioned" service very much in evidence. Room was well appointed and modern: Dinner and...

We were staying locally and came here for a meal. Offer bar food or restaurant, and elected to go in the restaurant - dearer but much better menu! Also bar was empty, so no atmosphere. Meal was excellent, and staff very friendly and welcoming.

This hotel was really excellent. We were on a Bed, Breakfast and Evening Meal tariff for 3 nights. The restaurant food and service could not be faulted and the bedrooms were well furnished and very clean. The proprietors and staff could not have been more helpful during our stay.

We visit Charmouth often to visit an elderly aunt, usually staying in Lyme but as our time was limited this visit we booked Fernhill for the one night. What a find! Great mix of contemporary and traditional, nice bar, formal dining room and our room (7) was very, very good. Extremely comfortable bed, super bed linen and a very modern...

Upon arrival at Fernhill we were checked in promptly and shown to our room. We were advised that if we would like some complimentary tea and Dorset apple cake to return to the reception. This we did and the lady on duty swiftly served us. What a lovely gesture and a good way to start our few days away. The...
