Just got back from a 3 night stay with my wife for my birthday. This is a great hotel with amazing staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. The room we had was awesome - a huge bed and lovely antique furniture. The bathroom only had a bath with over shower but we were told about this as we...

Stayed a couple of nights. Menu did not change much from night before. Bedroom was lovely and atmosphere in hotel with log fire and olde world lounge. Staff were friendly and helpful, shame about the owner who found it difficult to smile or ask if everything was okay.

Dear Maureen J, Thank you for your review and I'm obviously glad to hear you enjoyed your stay. And I am so sorry that I did not set a better example. I can assure you I was not aware and it was not intentional. Running a hotel and restaurant is an incredibly stressful business these days. The pressures are such...

We had a two night stay here in January - been meaning to do a write up since then! This was our first stay at the Bridge House. Staff very welcoming (especially Harry and Clare). Delicious three course evening meal and breakfast. Super comfortable bed (we stayed in Garden View superior double). Lots of little welcome additional touches like the...

A lovely welcome from very professional but friendly staff. We stayed in the coach house which was cosy and warm. We had a three course dinner in the restaurant. It was of exceptional quality, the atmosphere was relaxing. Would thoroughly recommend.

Lovely hotel and super room. Food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. I found the hotel on pets pyjamas so we were a little disappointed that our dog wasn't allowed in to the restaurant with us. I was a bit like you can bring your dog but we mustn't see or hear him because the other guests...

We decided on the Saturday that we felt like getting away but didn't want to journey too far. We saw the two night winter package (dinner, b&b and cream time for 2) at the Bridge House Hotel and having looked at reviews gave them a ring in the hope they could accommodate us. They didn't have a room in the...

We've done a few Travelzoo deals over the last couple of years all of which have been great value and very enjoyable but the Bridge House hotel really did surpass our expectations. The room was very comfortable, homely, warm and had everything we could ask for, we stayed in room 15 which held a few surprises, the main bedroom had...

Our second visit - I wish we could go more often! I cannot recommend the Restaurant more highly. The staff are friendly and welcoming and went to the trouble of suggesting dishes and suitable wines. The restaurant was full – and I can see why. This was our first stay at the Hotel itself and it did not disappoint. Lovely...

Charming place with excellent rooms, great atmosphere and a restaurant with great food. The hotel staff work hard to make your stay good. The only real downside is that car park is small but the hotel staff do what they can to help.

What do you need in January with short chilly days? A bracing walk by the sea and then cream tea, and the papers in front of gently crackling log fire in a 700 year old room. That's what you get here. And then retire to your extremely comfortable room where everything has been considered - dressing gowns, delicious biscuits, lovely...
