My husband and I have just spent five days at the Royal Hotel and I can only give my honest opinion on our stay there. We were visiting with a coach trip and we had a really good time. The hotel manager came onto the coach to greet us and then our luggage was brought straight to our room. Our...

The bed in this hotel was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever had the pleasure or mispleasure to sleep on and despite telling the reception where they said they would tell housekeeping and put a mattress topper on - this was merely a padded mattress cover and it made no difference. I told reception when we left...

The hotel is in a nice location but I found that the inside to be dull. When entering the Restaurant it was like walking into a self service café on a holiday camp and the food and service was poor. My overall feelings on the Hotel is that it needs to be refurbished and up dated.

Room 202 is a large family room with a twin and double bedroom and a large shower room, there's a balcony offering a partial sea view but it is in need of a lick of paint. The general standard of the hotel is good with generous portions of quality food.

We enjoyed our four night stay here. Comfortable clean room with balcony. Lovely views, pleasant staff, good food, good sized swimming pool and a comfortable lounge. No gripes except the vegetarian dinner option was pasta every night.

We stayed for 1 night at The Royal this week - we are a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Family room was surprisingly very big consisting of 2 singles and a double. The room was a little dated in furnishings and television but we were only using this as a base after exploring and for the reasonable price...

nice hotel in a great position very close to the beach, very friendly staff. The hotel room was adequate and clean but desperately needs re-decorating and modernizing. That said I would be only too happy to stay there again in the future.

I recently stayed here with my sister, niece and great nephew. After reading some of the reviews we were wondering what on earth we booked! For what you pay, this hotel is ace. It was clean, nice staff and great views. We went down for the entertainment on the Saturday and the guy was fab. Yes it is old fashioned...

Stayed here 4th February 2017 and the room rate was £34. We were greeted at reception by a cheerful and efficient lady. Our room was a double room at the back of the hotel and it, like the rest of the hotel is dated but it was tidy and clean. Bed linen smelt very nice and we had a very...

Yes the Royal Hotel is tired and room we were in was not the best, however we slept very well and we breakfasted very well. We were worried by others reviews but need not have been. Staff were friendly enough and it offered great value for a one night stop. Beds were comfortable, we were allowed to check in at...
