We went there at thebeginning of December, 3 nights dinner, bed and breakfast at a really competitive price, great service, good wine and food. Very happy with our stay as was Hector, our dog. I highly recommend this hotel which is close to the centre of Bideford and not far…
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel as the staff were helpful and friendly. The food was delicious and served by helpful members of staff. The room was clean and fresh with a breathtaking view. Particularly enjoyed the evening entertainment.
This was a soulless hotel on the inland edge of town. I was told off for arriving 3 minutes early for breakfast and the receptionist was abrupt. No wifi in room and plumbing was dodgy. Only redeeming features were large size of room and good view from dining room.
Shabby rooms. Poor plumbing in bathrooms. Mixer taps that dont work resulting in no cold water coming through nearly scolding my son. Headboard hanging off the wall. Tv has audio descriptive spoiling any film or pragramne u wanted to watch. Swimming pool ok but broken floor…
A bit dated and in need of a revamp but, for the money, it was ok. Rooms were clean; bed-linen and towels clean and fresh. Friendly staff. All in all a decent base for a break in Woolacombe and only 5 minute walk to front.
"Sea views cost a little extra well worth paying ,as the back of the hotel can get noisy"
"Family room overlooking valley, village and beaches suited us very well."
"ask for a room at the front, good views, road runs past but not noisy."
"ask for a balcony room."
