Lovely weekend; staff and owner very friendly and helpful; food lovely - both breakfast and evening meals and room a good size and clean. Overall would definitely return. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.

While working in the area nearby in Totnes, I needed to find somewhere to stsy just for the one night. It's quite an expensive area to stay however I manage to find this little hidden gem, The Maltsters Arms. I knew it was located by a river and around 10 minutes drive from Totnes town which was ideal. I arrived...

This evening we booked a last minute table at The Malsters Arms. I phoned ahead to ask as I normally do if they could cater for me. I was really pleased. When I phoned I asked what I could have and I really fancied the venison burger - did they have any gluten free buns - the chef didn't but...

Braved the narrow and near flooded lanes to find this riverside eatery. Not disappointed. All tables booked for later evening but enjoyed an unhurried meal. Two of us had ham, poached eggs on bubble and squeak fritters, the other the minute steak. All tasty and satisfying. Good range of beers and ciders too. This place would be heaving in the...

Wandered up to the Maltsters last night from our nearby accommodation. Nice location on Bow Creek. A much better decor than when Floyd owned it, cleaner aswell. Certainly busy for food and locals. Good service, food was ok, fresh fish was certainly fresh.

Booked tickets for New Years Eve over the phone and we had a fantastic time. The young staff were friendly and very efficient, beer delicious and the food was plentiful and very tasty. Great band and wonderful people. Wish this was our local!

My wife and I booked a NYE reservation to eat here 2 months in advance - we actually went into the restaurant to make the reservation and got told that it was confirmed. However, the day before, we rang to double check the time and got told there was no booking under our name - in fact they had a...

Stayed for one cold November night. Hotel was as warm as the welcome. My room had a stunning view of the river and was more of suite than a bedroom with sofa and chairs and beautiful bathroom. Everything spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant was good and the breakfast will set you up for the day....

I've stayed here a few times now and each time its been perfect. The rooms are all very stylish and modern, very clean and very well presented. Breakfast is delicious and very efficient, enjoyed with a view of the river too, just perfect. Staff all seem friendly and the dinner menu is also delicious! My favorite part is the fire...

I recently stayed two nights at the Maltsters Arms and had to write about the great experience. I booked in at the ridiculously low off-season rate of £44/night B&B, but £90/night would have be fine considering the value they offer their guests. Reception was informal but oh so friendly and courteous. They even went so far as to upgrade my...
