I arrived alone and found I was the only guest there. However I was made really welcome and looked after without fault. I stayed overnight in the clean and comfortable single room and was fed to a very high standard. It was naturally quiet (as there were no other guests) but the sauna was fired up for me and I...

Having been to acorn 5 times over the past few years, both camping and as a day visitor i now feel i can give a fair review. Being a solo male visitor (married but wife not into the life style) you can often be greeted with awkward looks and suspicion when visiting naturist sites alone, both from owners and guests....

This a truly relaxing place to stay. Cathy & Andy are the owners, and site wardens Clare & Martin are also incredibly helpful & friendly - you really come here to unwind. You can swim in the pool (great views of Dartmoor), enjoy a jacuzzi, soak up the heat in the wood burning sauna or just enjoy wandering through the...

Not long returned from Acorns, infact the week running up to August Bank Holiday, what another great week we had, despite the unsettled weather. Yet again Andy, Kathy, and Martin and Claire were fantastic hosts, the place is so welcoming, and again we met some lovely like minded people. Every year we visit, and each time there are more improvements,...

I stayed on business and it was a pleasure ! What more can I say, every box was well and truly ticked. Basic rules apply to maintain standards of hygiene and decency but the place is so relaxed and comfy. The other guests when I stayed B & B were all friendly and a mix of ages, couples, families, etc....

My husband and I have just returned from another visit to Acorns. We had one of Andy and Kathy's caravans for a week and then spent an extra night on a bed and breakfast basis. We noted people of all ages having as enjoyable a time as us. Through speaking to other guests - many of whom have far more...

This was my very first experience of a naturist place in the UK. I travelled alone and was a little bit nervous driving down not knowing how it would be. However within minutes of arriving I felt really at home. Kathy showed me around and instantly I new this was a very well run, clean, and a very tidy place...

My husband and I have just returned from Acorns having spent the weekend there. The place was beautifully landscaped and in a lovely peaceful location, but sadly the weather seriously let us down with howling gales and incessant rain which didn't detract from the beauty of the place and could only get better with sunshine. Sadly this glorious atmosphere was...

Dear Julie & Andrew, Thank you for your review and comments. I am sorry you felt that Acorns is clothing optional, as we go to great lengths to be known as a naturist venue and not clothing optional, because with clothing optional, nobody feels comfortable. I think the problem, as you pointed out, was the weather. It was a particularly...
