We visited today for Sunday lunch. There were 7 of us including a toddler. The place is beautiful, very clean and well kept; staff really helpful and friendly, and the service was spot on. The food was top notch as well so 5 stars all round. Great place for winter due to the cosy lounge areas and log fires but...

So pleased you enjoyed your lunch with us. We really try to do our best with everything we do and it is lovely to get the feedback from our regular customers and newcomers. We now have two log fires as the first sitting room was always so busy! Best wishes Claire

Hi David, Many thanks for your very nice review for the hotel. It is very rewarding to get reviews especially really good ones, which I have to admit is most of them! Hope to see you again so you may enjoy our hospitality. Even in the summer without the log fires, the garden is excellent and we offer terrace dining, or...

Having stopped off here for lunch once before (its close to junction 27 of the M5 ) we thought we would stay the night on the way home from Devon. It was a good decision. We had our 2 dogs with us so our room was in a separate building to the main hotel but it was a nice room...

Dear Louise, Many thanks for your review posted last year, the hotel has been so busy, I have not been able to get to respond. Thank you for coming back and enjoying a stay, wedo get a bit of resistance to the outside rooms, I feel totally unwarranted and I'm glad to hear your view of the room so customers...

We stayed for a couple of nights and were very impressed with everything: room, dinner, breakfast and the level of service. We made use of the hotel's Dine and Stay offer on Friday nights, and had a very good three-course meal for less than you would pay in a pub. The hotel is only a few minutes from the M5,...

Gorgeous hotel in a quiet spot. On entry a bit of a surprise that the reception is in a "cave" the lighting so low. Noticed diners and lounge lizards all had to hold whatever required reading under the dim lampshades BUT the food in the restaurant was just sublime. Often a vegetarian dish is a sad affair but not here,...

Thank you for your review posted for us, It is very appreciated and glad all was good with your stay, apart from our conservatory being cleaned late at night. This has been noted and we have changed that policy. All the best to you and thanks again. Claire

On our way to Cornwall recently we stopped at The Hartnoll for a night. We used the occasion to meet up with some familly and have dinner. The room we were given was modern, clean and perfect for our one night stop. It had everything we needed. We spent some time in the lounge bar before and after dinner and...

I had visited this hotel many years ago, when down in the area on business, so when it came to finding a stop over in the district, en route to the West Country, and this hotel came up in the search, I recognized the name of the village of Bolham and thus the hotel. In the intervening years the place...

The food at the wedding reception was excellent and was very full at the end. We had booked a standard double, which was not large, but do no envy housekeepers cleaning all the glass. The bathroom took a bit of getting used to with a glass door and window into the room The shower was very compact, but worked well....
