Whether its total chill out, walks in the country, swimming in the lovely pool, the great food and lovely beer, really friendly and accommodating owners, visiting local Devonshire villages or just a great old game of skittles....this is the place to visit> Set in the most beautiful countryside surrounded by bluebells, wild garlic, wild daffodils and baby lambs - bathed...

A return visit to this little rural gem of a campsite & pub. The new owners have made a great effort to improve a previously rundown site. We were welcomed by the staff & enjoyed an evening of live music with plenty of locals. The menu was good & steaks great. The campsite loos, although fresh & clean, remain tired...

Went here for lunch with friends. The staff are lovely, really friendly and the food was great, nice big portions. Beer and lager kept really well and lots of lovely wine. Would highly recommend a visit!

Three of us went in search of food on our holiday, aware that many pubs in the area don't seem to serve food on a Monday evening out of the summer season. Although a small menu, there seemed to be something to suit us all, it was typical pub grub, but very, very good and huge portions. The ambience of pub...

Not many places welcome a lone camper van in February, but when we happened across the Blackcock Inn, at the end of a long drive, we were delighted with the warm welcome. The site was just what we needed - hook-up, a really good shower block with hot water on demand and a pub offering good meals in an easy...

My husband and I went on a rare trip out without the children and had the most wonderful evening. A quiet, understated pub but the food was divine. Best meal we have eaten out in a long while and fantastic friendly service. We enjoyed it so much we have booked to take the whole family there!

After being badly neglected by previous owners, Lou and Gloria took over about a month ago and the difference is very noticeable. Still some things to address but the pub is now warm, (no more eating with your coat on) clean and tidy with well kept, changing ales and beers- £3 a pint for superb Bass, London Pride and Exmoor...

This was our third visit to the campsite over the last 2 years. No, it's not 5 star by any means. It is quiet, well situated, with a very pleasant pub on site. The staff are lovely, very helpful & friendly. We had a very tasty meal in the pub. There was plenty of it & beautifully presented. There was...

We visited the weekend of 25/09/2016 and was not expecting much due to previous reviews. Don't always believe what people put on reviews. Yes the site was slightly in need of TLC. Yes the showers had issues with the boiler, but we we're given keys to a static van to use the showers in there. The pub over the road...
