Our second visit to this lovely little hotel. Comfortable rooms and fantastic food. All the staff friendly and very helpful, especially Hayley.Hotel is in heart of Lifton with local shop nearby for papers and essentials. Good central location to explore all of Devon. There is a local bus service which we used to get to Exeter and beyond

Had a 3 night stay here with an offer from an internet site. Very good for exploring north Cornwall and south Devon by day. Really good bar atmosphere and a good selection of beer. Food was especially good. The hotel has a local reputation and we were lucky to be there on a 'Food club' night were we could have...

Stayed here for two nights on a Wowcher deal. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed with good powerful shower. As with the recent previous reviewers we found the food and service was excellent. Mention must be made of the young redheaded lady who looked after us in the evening. She must be commended for her customer service skills. She...

Spent a very pleasant night in this small hotel set in a location which is quiet and peaceful but only a mile or so from the A30 arterial route through Cornwall. Excellent in cleanliness and hospitality and the patron makes his own crafted penguin cakes which are quaint. Cosy bar with good selection of across the board 'pub grub' and...

On the first night we enjoyed the delicious food - we all had different items from the menu and all commented on how good it was. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a great base for exploring the surrounding...

I held a business meeting here last night for a number of guests, followed by a delicious meal and very comfortable night stay. The facilities are well suited for a board room style meeting, with the provision of projector and screen for power point presentations. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous...a real home from home atmosphere. My room was...

A nice little hotel with loads of character and charm. The food was very good and there was plenty of it. The local beer was nice if not a little different to what I am use to, but still very pale table. My bedroom was quiet, clean and had every thing I needed. My bed was a little hard but...

We stayed here with friends on the first night of our Lands End to John O' Groats trip (on a motorbike and trike) and started off with a night of luxury! A really comfy bed followed a lovely meal, the fish pie and steak pie are highly recommended. Thank-you to you all. We completed our mission in 2009 miles!
