Lovely old building of historic importance but oh so tired. We were surprised on our arrival at 3pm to find the front door locked and had to ring the bell for admittance. After a wait we were welcomed by a lovely young man (Sam was his name I think) who apologised for the delay but he was on the other... More

We were really looking forward to our stay here as the pictures of the hotel looked so nice. We were however disappointed. The hotel and room was spacious and generally clean with fresh towels daily. Tea and Coffee facilities we also refreshed daily. The location was lovely and you had a view of the sea from the bedroom and the garden.... More

Wonderful location overlooking the sea. Reasonable walk into town though there is an hourly bus and "land train". Room (single overlooking the garden) was clean and comfortable. A few minor maintenance issues like windows very difficult to open or close. Guests in next door room could be heard speaking and the fire-door right outside my room kept banging. Guests were... Me and my husband drove into the barn and were pleasantly surprised, the building itself is lovely. We were quickly shown around and we were both impressed with the gardens etc and the honesty bar is a nice touch. Then we were taken to our room it was clear we were disappointed it was like walking into a grandma's bedroom... More

A characterful house, especially attractive if you like the Arts and Crafts movement. Lots of parking at the front. Gorgeous terrace and garden at the back - I loved sitting outside with a glass of wine looking out to sea. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast (veggie sausages on request). A pleasant 20 minute walk to get to the... More

The staff were very welcoming to both my wife and dog. We stayed in a large room with great views over the garden and out to sea. A little run down in the bedroom decor department and the bathroom was in need of a make over but the bed was very comfortable and the room furniture good quality. Don't be... More

Eleven members of my family including my mother stayed at the Barn last weekend to celebrate her 90th birthday. We were looked after very well, the staff being charming and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and the beds very comfortable. This is a beautiful building with lovely public rooms and gardens in a perfect situation to enjoy Exmouth.

This arts and craft house is beautiful. The setting is amazing with beautiful views of the sea and fantastic gardens and architecture. If you want corporate sameness don't stay here, if you want family run within walking distance of the beach, town and Jurassic coastal path, in calm relaxing environment, this is the place for you
