This was an excellent hotel and wedding property with conference and meeting facilities. It is in an outstanding location with amazing views. It was put up for sale in late 2015 and was brought by Micheal Caine who is in the process of converting it into a 5 star 21 bedroom luxury hotel and restaurant, the new hotel which has...

We spent 3 nights in one of their apartments. It was huge. Large rooms and the corridor ran the entire length of the building so the kids had a huge place to explore. It was very clean with everything you needed in the kitchen for a great self catering stay. The main house was shut as there was no wedding...

The house and gardens are a lovely setting for a wedding and we were lucky with the weather which allowed us to enjoy the terraces and gardens also. The rooms downstairs are quite small however...the wedding I was at had approx 80 people and the...

I feel I have to disagree with some of the reviewers as we have just had a most pleasant family reunion there and were very pleased with our choice. The situation is ideal and we were lucky to be able to take lovely shots with the background of the Exe. It was also very safe for very little children to...

I was a guest at a wedding in this hotel and for convenience booked a double room there. On arrival we were well greeted and my wife was shown to the room whilst I paid the £105 for the night. The room was well furnished and a comfortable size. A section of skirting board showed signs of dry rot but...

DO NOT book this venue for a wedding or party if you are planning to have a disco or live band as part of your celebration. They insist on using a noise limiter with a crazily low threshold which cuts off the music and plunges the crowd into darkness as soon as anybody starts enjoying themselves. Impossible for a live...

“Do not allow them to shove you into the "Garden View" room as this is in a wing to the main building. The other rooms had heating & hot water”
