We have spent several days here on several occasions. It's probably the best B and B I've stayed in. It's well run, clean and comfortable, the staff are friendly and helpful. We enjoy the social aspect of visiting the lounge bar in the evenings!

Very enjoyable two night stay at the Dolphin Hotel. We were allocated room 20, which was spacious, with an enormous comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast on both days, and all the staff that we met were so friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Location is everything and cannot be faulted. Parking is limited, and while the parking permits work well you do end up separated from your car, albeit only a short walk away. The room was lovely. Very bright and airy which was a pleasant surprise after negotiating narrow corridors. Breakfast was a real hit with the kids. The staff at breakfast...

As a dog owner, i have problems finding hotels that cater for my two. The Dolphin happily opened their doors to my pooches. On arrival, we were greeted by a charming lady, who directed us to our room on the ground floor. It was a decent sized room with a separate loo and shower. (a small handbasin in the loo...

As a family we stayed in rooms 14 & 18 which were right at the top. Which is a rather steep climb if you're not as fit as you once were! But the rooms were nicely furnished and clean. The beds comfortable, with wi-fi, a tea/coffee tray and TV with basic channels. They had small en suites with clean fluffy...

Good sized room (11) with king sized bed, excellent WiFi and shower ensuite. Room overlooked street but as the hotel is on a quiet road, this wasn't a problem. Hotel close to town. Breakfast also good.

We stayed two nights at the Dolphin, taking two rooms. The staff were exceptionally friendly on arrival, going out of their way to help with the parking (make sure you book one of the few spaces available at the hotel when booking - though the nearby boat/car park, for which the hotel give you permit, is also fine). It's a...

We booked this last minute and arrived after dark. Staff were friendly and the room was clean but basic. The bathroom was small. The wifi was adequate. Off street parking was provided. This hotel is a 5 min walk from the town centre where there is a reasonable variety of food. Breakfast was again ok. Don't expect any flourishing touches...

Spent 2 nights here 16 / 18 for brothers funeral . Lovely hotel , lovely staff , excellent breakfast . Nothing was too much trouble for anyone . Very close to town . Would definitely stay again .Only one wee negative was the workmen in the bar with torn jeans , maybe a dress code would be in order ....
