My wife and I were luck enough to have her parents come and babysit for the weekend so we took the advantage to get away for the weekend for a romantic break. We wanted to visit one of the UK's National Parks and came across the option of staying at the Old Rectory Hotel in Exmoor National Park. Tripadvisor reviews...

Thank you very much for your review and we are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your rare romantic break away from the kids so much. We appreciate your constructive feedback on your bedroom. The window in your bedroom is very close to a corner wall and so the only option is to use a Roman Blind on that window....

Absolutely brilliant - highly recommend. Service and Staff could not do enough to make our stay any better. Extremely relaxing stay with a very high degree of professionalism and humour. We will go again in the not too distant future to this lovely Hotel and live in a fairy tale world for a few days.

Perfect escape from London - only sound through open window is that of birdsong. Walking distance from beautiful South West Coastal Path. Incredibly welcoming and totally relaxing. Attentive team with eye for detail. Delicious, tasty food.

We have been many times to the Old Rectory, and it is always an absolute treat, our favourite hotel by a long way. It is always so welcoming, Sam and Huw greeting everyone like long lost friends and the rest of the team equally delightful. Peaceful surroundings, lovel food, what else can I say?
