Just spent a wonderful weekend at the Blenheim staying in The Nest.
Lovely views of Dawlish and the Sea.
The room was spacious. Very clean and tidy.
Breakfast was cooked to order and was superb.
Plenty of choice for breakfast.
Alison and Rick are superb hosts and exceptionally friendly.
Thank solotripperUK

was a place I've stayed a few times and I've always found it a lovely place to stay. You have everything you need in the room and if you need any help with places to go the owners are very helpful and friendly. I would stay again plus they accept dogs which is a plus.
Thank Joanne M

The room "The Hideaway" was quite good, despite the fact that the room was next to a busy road, we heard nothing to it. A minus, you almost did not have to turn the water on the hot side, before you got "boiling" water.
Breakfast was not a great culinary experience, they do not have a hot buffet, but you can choose the hot dishes from a menu, and they make it... a definite plus in my book.
Thank you for a good and pleasant stay.
Thank Morten P

Thank you for your review we are pleased you had a pleasant stay, The hideaway room will be having a refurb this winter so will be even better! I am also pleased to hear you did not hear the traffic noise in this room. All the rooms have their own water heaters so may just need a slight adjustment, thank you for letting me know. I am slightly confused why breakfast was not a great culinary experience as you then say that our cook to order breakfast is a plus.. maybe that was a typo and you meant that not having hot buffet and us cooking all food to order was better. Either way I am glad you enjoyed your stay and we thank you for your comments Kind regards Ali & The Blenheim Team

A week in Dawlish to film the Flying Scotsman and this was absolutely the best base i could have had. Large well equipped rooms, peaceful inspite being near a main road, the most welcoming and friendly staff and views that most would happily empty their pockets for. I really can't recommend the Blenheim highly enough for anyone visiting Dawlish.
Thank Simon D

I loved my stay at The Blenheim from Monday 24 till Friday 28 September. Everything was exceptional. I was in Sea Walk, a ground floor room with an amazing view of the sea and passing trains. Its location is excellent, it’s an easy, level 2 - 3 minute walk from Dawlish Railway Station and from the station you can see The Blenheim, an imposing pink, Victorian house.

It’s a small, traditional, sea front guest house which offers rooms with small kitchens. There are two ground floor rooms accessible from street level by 4 steps, with grab rails, which will be suitable for some people with mobility disabilities.

I stayed in Sea Walk, a ground floor, sea view room. the room was very comfortable, spacious, clean, well maintained and nicely furnished. There was a very comfortable double bed, bedside tables, wardrobe with shelving, chest of draws, 2 comfortable armchairs by the window, TV, free good wifi, small kitchen, table and 2 chairs. There was an ensuite shower room with shower cubicle with a single grab rail, sink and toilet with grab rail. The view was amazing.

The ground floor breakfast room, also has sea views and there was a good selection of good quality food. There was self service for cereal, fruit, yogurt and toasters to make your own toast. Hot drinks and hot food was waiter service. I loved the American pancakes and the veggie breakfast. Breakfast times on weekdays were 8am to 9.30am.

Staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend and I’ve already booked for next year.
