I liked this place it is well refurbished but still has a pub like feel and atmosphere, it's a restaurant on one side and still retains a pub like area on the other, plenty of ales to choose from and a good selection of gin

With its own parking directly behind and very warm welcome we were taken directly to our large room via a windy hallway with lots of unexpected step ups and down. It was obviously an old building adapted for use so was charming. It does however suffer slightly from its vintage build in that noise carries more than a modern build....

We stayed at the Fountain inn whilst travelling from Derbyshire to visit family in Cornwall. We booked it on the way an hour before arriving. We stayed in a family room (room 6) which was huge and had a separate room off it with bunk beds which was great for the children. Lovely breakfast. The staff were all very friendly...

16c coaching in so rooms higgeldy piggeldy with atmosphere especially the public spaces where there's lots of bare stones and open fire. Exceedingly reasonable rates and good value for money. Staff very friendly and helpful. Had steak for dinner and without a doubt the nicest steak eaten in a long while. £10 including dessert! Beer also good and well kept.

Stopped here with my Wife and 3yr old son. Nice Hotel with free parking. Stopped in room 4 The Family Room and the room was clean and the staff friendly. Breakfast was good with a good choice. Did not eat in the restaurant at the evening as I was told they were fully booked. They did not say they had...

Stayed one nights b&b (not pricey) in this traditional town centre coaching inn, has own car park at rear. Busy, friendly bar full of happy people when I checked in, a lot of exposed stone and flagstone floors going on. Friendly staff member showed me upstairs along a maze of passages to a slightly crooked double room (Room 5) which...

We stayed here for two nights. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was fine, though it had a big bathroom but the smallest legal shower (I am not commensurately small) that could have been fitted. A shame really, as there was plenty of room for a bath. The hotel is old, with steps all over the place, but...

This characterful hotel boasts exceptionally attentive staff in the bar, kitchen, breakfast room and in the bedrooms all under the vigilant eye of a manager who manages to keep things humming in a discreet manner. The hotel itself has character with ample parking at the rear but do check the turning to it beforehand. Dinner was pork in breadcrumbs with...

Lovely staff, room was very nicely decorated, liked the tea/coffee and breakfast was really amazing and tasty. Just two wee downsides - I was a little cold in the room, I turned on radiator but had to ask staff for the actual heating to be turned on. With towels we were given a small sachet of conditioning shampoo, shower gel...
